Principal Financial-Remote work

Call me old school but you probably should be careful calling out your employer in public. I am not disagreeing with your post. I just want to express that it’s not a good idea to publicly trash against the place that pays your rent.
Disagree. It's perfectly fine to call them out
And it's perfectly fine if they decide to take action based on that call out.

The poster hasn't shared their name as far as I know. What exactly are you suspecting could happen?

I agree as well. It is perfectly fine to do both. I was just advising this, I’m assuming young individual, that if they want to keep their job it is probably best not to do so.
I’ll admit when I’m wrong. Not a young individual. Was really easy to get their birthday. 52 years old.

It is ok to be upset at your company and to express it. Just be careful. If you really want to keep your job. That’s all I’m saying. I think with the birthday and location (which was provided) they could easily figure out who posted this.

Lol, ok. It’s impossible to figure out who they are.
Indulge me. How do you think they would?

Here are a few facts.
The user has not shared their name.
Their email address they registered with is clearly a throwaway
Their IP address traces back to Honduras, so they're using a VPN.

What exactly is the employer going to do to identify this poster?

Yeah, nobody's ever entered an inaccurate birthday on a website before...

lol. Yeah, I'm sure they've got a whole team on it...
I’m literally trying to help out the OP. Principal is a f’ing multi national corporation that goes threw rounds of layoffs. Don’t do anything that brings your name to the top of the list during the next round! Seriously. We can have a separate argument about the justification but that’s not what I was implying

@pfgemployee if you get called into h.r. this week we know who did it.
pfgemployee's internal monologue: "I thought I had all my bases covered. I went through all the trouble of registering for the site with a dummy email account, using an anonymous username, with a VPN to mask my IP address, but then I went and put in my REAL birthday! How could I been so stupid?!?"

Nothing he has said is controversial even. If they aren't proud of their policy they shouldn't have it be a policy.

And a company of that size definitely has one employee with the same birthday.
