Potential Transfers '14

Just ran across a story of a troubled former HS 5 star Devonta Pollard that just finished up junior college and is starting to get high-major intrest. If things don't work out with Hollowell and Anderson could be someone to look at. He has an intersting history...

Want. Needs to develop a perimeter game? CFH can fix that.

IMO,

Current Position Priority knowing that Fred really wants interchangeable and versatile people:
1. Big Man backup
2. Power Forward
2. Shooting Forward
3. Shooting Guard
4. Point Guard

Scholly Preference
1. Graduate one year.(Easy pie)
2. High school (ship has sailed)
3. Three to play two. (Long Term)
4. Two to play one. (Expensive)
5. Walk on that might get a scholly (Kourtlin).

Apparently Iowa and Creighton are after Huff. I wonder if we've reached out or have interest. It will be interesting to see where he ends up considering he mentioned wanting to play closer to home before Nevada barred him from 45 West Coast schools.

Michigan is in on Huff now as well.

There's a thread on HawkeyeReport verifying this kid is not a THUG if Iowa were to get him...even though I don't think there's any info linking him and Iowa...still good to know who is and isn't a thug.

Is that really stated on their board? Hilarious, if true. Besides, their juco recruit Dickerson has been at about six schools in the last 5 years. They'll be taking in jucos and transfers with interesting backgrounds, too, before you know it. Needless to say, we know theirs will all be "great second-chance stories" and ours will all be "thugs". No admittance on building it the wrong way, either. Makes me want to barf.

Oh, come on. You can't let it get to you. We joke about how stupid they are, and then they go and say stuff like this and prove that someone can actually be that stupid.

Bruce Pearl looks to be taking a page out of Fred's "How to turn around a struggling program" book. And I'll bet he'll have Auburn back in the tournament in a couple years.

Funny how Pearl per sanctions can't recruit until August but maybe that doesn't apply to transfers.

Didn't Iowa recruit a kid that spent two years in prison?

Well Huff watch got a little more interesting...

@Brotherhood05: Cole Huff will be released to all PAC 12 and WCC schools in Southern California

Thoughts?

@LukeMeredithAP: College hoops news. NCAA might pass a new rule next week forcing hardship transfers to sit a yr, then have 1 added to eligibility clock.

I don't care really because hardship waivers are usually BS.

I don't think that would affect graduate transfers.

Listening to Mike and Mike this morning, NCAA pres. I think said that any transfer would sit a year, but then get that year tacked on at the end to continue their eligibility. Would be interesting.
