Posts you hate on Facebook.

-Constant political stuff, especially if its all "sound-bitey" and snarky.

-Parents who post about nothing else besides being a parent; I'm not saying never post about your kids, but hourly updates on your children and constant posts about being a parent just seem a little overblown.

-Pet owners who post constantly about their pets

-People who make vague complaints about how their life sucks and fish for comforting responses from others

I think it's more of a case of not being selective enough in choosing your "friends."
 
People should post some examples of their friends fishing for responses, I will try to find one.
 
1) Anything political.

2) People wishing me happy birthday. I usually just change my birthdate a week beforehand.

Most of facebook updates are just an implied message to the people that love me that I am still alive. It doesn't really matter what the content is.

Once or twice I've gotten roped into responding to someone's stupid status update/photo/whatever about politics, and I've always regretted it. Usually they haven't even really thought about what they posted, it was just something cool and soundbite-y. It's never worth the effort.

Yeah, my senior year at ISU I narrowed things down from around 250 friends to now at 130. Surprisingly I don't have a lot of stupid stuff come back up.

Beat me to it. The sympathy/attention mongers are the worst.

The second worst - anyone who takes their spats or feuds with someone else public. I see that stuff and it makes me want to cancel my account.
 
All of a sudden it's become picture after picture saying something along the lines of "If you love God, share this. But if you keep scrolling then he can see you do so."

Like.. no **** he can see it happening. He's God. And I'm pretty sure God couldn't care less about what the hell is going on on Facebook.

If anyone wants to meet for lunch or coffee today before 3 text me. ill try to keep myself together

And another by the same person:
Gunna go see a movie to try to take my mind off everything
 
This thread has inspired me to do some long overdue facebook housecleaning. Goodbye to habitually sad people, former classmates I have not seen or talked to in ten years, and hardcore liberals and conservatives. I think that will leave me with around 25 friends.

Wow, at least bullets aren't whizzing by your head in Iraq fighting for your country. That would be a real reason to post that acronym.
