You must be new here. After the CPR comment you get mobbed for saying anything remotely negative.

After reading that Niguel thread, for his sake I hope he's perfect on the field because if he makes a few mistakes there will be people making worse comments about him.

I never say anything too negative about the team, I was just simply stating its getting real annoying that things most people don't even few as a bad comment are being treated as sins now by several posters.

ok, so look at it broadly. take the mods out of it. How do other posters disagreeing with him translate to him not being allowed to post his opinion?

It's not that he's not allowed, it's just it's no longer even considered a legitimate opinion to question a coach on anything.

I'm clearly still posting, aren't I moron? It wasn't even about my opinion, this is the most I've been jumped on since that CPR comment. It's reading anyone's opinion followed by multiple people saying to trust the coaches and that we are scaring away recruits.

Who cares if people say to trust the coaches? What's so wrong with that?

I'm saying that's unfortunate, that people can't consider an opinion as even valid that is not consistent with their own very rosy world view. I'm not saying it's the sites fault, I'm just saying in my memory it wasn't like this 2 years ago and others who have been liking my posts presumably agree to an extent. But ya I'm done with this topic.

to your point, if your whole argument is about how you have the right to a negative opinion, then how can you be upset about people having a negative opinion of your negative opinion?

you obviously weren't here for the GMac years. Pretty much the same thing. Not much has changed.

It wasn't good was it? It was also July. There was a lot of sarcasm in there but some comments were negative and serious I guess. I still stand by the opinion that it's ridiculous for recruits to take message boards seriously, especially in July, but at least I know what he was talking about.
 
This has gone way past pointless. People are just focusing on all the wrong things, and trying to get too technical even though they know exactly what is trying to be said.

Ha! It was exactly opposite during the end of the Gmac era. You were ridiculed if you didn't have an outwardly negative opinion of Gmac. A lot has changed on this board has changed and to say it hasn't is denial or delusion.

Actually no. There were lots and lots of bans handed out to people who couldn't get beyond posting "gmac sucks." Shoot, we had a poster, one who's still around, who actively rooted against the clones as long as gmac was the coach. he was constantly lambasted. the only difference between then and now is that the ratio of positive posters to negative posters is much higher now. Otherwise, it was the same fight.
