Possible 2010 MBB Recruiting Targets

Or like we played 1/2 the year whenever Ham was on the bench. Dendy and Brackins aren't centers but they were both on the court at the same time and we did OK

This is sort of halfway to what I thought they should've done after the roster was reduced to 8 — I think Mac should have used the most talent to his advantage.

There were still some options, but it would have required running a zone defense and varying the lineup based on the opponent.

1. Starting unit: Colvin, Brackins, Gilstrap, Hamilton, Dendy. Run a 1-3-1 defense. On offense, let Colvin create — Gilstrap could serve as a pseudo-shooting guard – overall, difficult matchups for the opponent inside.

2. Switch up and use a 3-guard set — Colvin, Garrett and Christopherson — with Hamilton and Dendy down low. On defense, run a 1-2-2.

They could certainly run man-to-man a lot, too — but with those lineups it might require a trade-off from time to time.

I know, this all sounds insane and extremely old-school, but it might have maximized the talent. I felt like each player had strengths, but it wasn't used to advantage in the overall sense — for example, it seemed like there was a "rule" that Dendy, Hamilton and Brackins couldn't be on the court at the same time.

Thast it. Im doen even tryn to typ good.

Anybody know who this Maurice Walker is? 6'10 270 center from Brewster.

I actually thought we often struggled when Ham was on the bench in foul trouble. Ham made steady improvement. (So did Dendy tho)

I looked at a couple of Bo Barnes videos, and to me he kinda looks like a Kyle Korver type player. He nails a couple very long threes, and looks to have a nice jump shot. The question is if he can create. There are few plays where it shows him going to the hole and forcing action.

Not much of a shot...btw, Ejim is from TT:Canada, too, and they have one of the top five 2012 AAU teams in North America.

Hey, there's not much of a shot we win more than 15 games next year, but it doesn't keep me from hoping we do.

Would you rather I just don't tell you guys about recruits anymore? If you haven't noticed, I haven't been posting much because anything and everything on here gets turned it to an argument about Mac.

Kinda reminds me of Larry Bird, bet he can create like Kobe or D-Wade........(with a name like Bo Barnes, he must have legendary CF comparisons)

I didn't mention Mac anywhere in my post. I just said I doubt we will win 15 games next year, but I hold out hope, and it was said in jest to compare it to holding out hope for Walker. Sorry, here :jimlad:, hope that helped!

Clyburn still has his offer in hand, hasn't committed anywhere yet. That being said, I'd like to get Barnes on the team for next year, and if Clark came that would be rockin' as well.

What happened to getting Jordan Railey, the big guy outta Oregon? I know he's "committed" but when will we get his signed LOI?

Railey's still committed, will sign during the spring period.
