Petition on Big XII Refs

Gee, it can't just be that Kansas has had a number of knuckleheaded players in the Self era (Langford, Collins, Morris twins, Elijah Johnson) that thought their reputation alone would win them games and didn't take these opponents seriously... And I am pretty sure that the Davidson team led by NBA All Star Steph Curry beat the #2 and #3 seeds in that bracket that year. They were an excellent team, regardless of their seed and Curry put forth a historic run in that tourney. But don't let common sense stand in the way of a lame conspiracy.

okaaaayyyyyyyyyy

I am sure it has happened to someone trying to get around Niang's moving screen numerous times but ISU is the only fan base that catalogs 10+ years of video to whine about so I don't feel like looking for video evidence of it.

I think I found an Iowa fan who did this for every football and basketball game they lost since they lost to Florida in whatever the bowl game was however long ago on Youtube. No joke.

Wear our shoes for once two coach then I bet the tables would be turned. For ****s sake Allen field house boos every call on the Jayhawks.

Sad to say, but true. It's called realizing that there are things that your own team did poorly to lose a game. You should try it some time...

Ooooorrrrr...some folks could recognize that other fanbases are really really tired of hearing how great the KU team is and how it's always the best team in the conference and on the court from the Jayhawk fanbase, and can be rather surprised that a Jayhawk fan would openly state that their players' egos got in the way of their game plan on occasion.

It's rather disconcerting.

Petitions like these are stupid because they never actually accomplish anything. Refs will still always suck and Kansas will probably get the benefit of doubt in crunch time. What does petitioning it do? Nothing other then point it out, which makes this basically as good as a message board like this one.

Embid will foul out a lot of games come tourny time. He better get a handle on that little elbow hook push off thing he does. It's illegal and he does it almost every time he goes to the hoop.

I wish I could find it now but I looked it up once and found that KU is called for almost twice as many fouls during their non-con schedule.

Last year, KU went 14-4 in the Big 12 regular season. We had 325 fouls against us and 343 fouls called against our opponents. So for every foul against KU, there were 1.05 fouls called against KU's opponent. Over our last 18 NCCA tournament games (which includes the 5 tournaments after our NC), KU has gone 13-5. There have been 280 fouls called against KU and 312 fouls called against KU's opponents. This comes out to 1.11 fouls against our opponents for every foul called against KU.

How do you get .05 of a foul? Sorry, felt like being a smart *** :jimlad:

I know it may come as a shock on this board, but KU does get jobbed on as many calls as it gets favorable ones. In the end, it all averages out.

And so does Hilton for ISU as does every other arena with fans that want to see their team win. Duh.

Bill Self on Tyshawn Taylor: “He makes plays you can't coach,â€￾ Self said, “and then he makes plays that look like he's never been coached."

I am likely one of the most vocal critics of Kansas when they play like knuckleheads. I can handle seeing Kansas lose because a team outplayed them. To see them shoot themselves in the foot by making careless, thoughtless plays or because they did not put out the aggressive defensive intensity level necessary to compete is something that does not sit well with me.

Many fans think that the only thing you can do is sing the praises of your team and that if you say ANYTHING bad about them then you aren't a "true fan" but I do not believe that to be the case. I want them to show how important it is to them to succeed and represent the program. Give everything you have and fail? NO PROBLEM. Those are the guys that are revered as the heart and soul of a program long after they leave.

I hope you guys truly appreciate what you have out there in Ejim. That kid gets after it. I would take him in a heartbeat.
