Help me inderstand. Keep in mind, I have been VERY critical of Percy for the last 2 seasons. With that said, he came in during the first half and gave quality minutes. Why on earth did he not see the floor again? Scored, rebounded....
I do t get it.
 
Have to agree. Percy could match up a bit better vs their bigs. Yet, we couldn't handle Texas' halftime adjustments . . . whose fault is that?

Again, why did he not come out again? Or Edozie?
It's irritating. I know Fred knows way more than me, but to me this just seemed like a bad move. If anything, it gives our guys a breather.
 
Percy played well when he was in besides 2 dumb fouls. But id rather see a contributing Percy foul out early than have mel georges and dustin with 4 each late. I trust Hoiberg had a reason and I can't doubt the Mayor.
 
I think the main reason we don't play them is because they don't give us an offensive mismatch that Fred likes. Neither of those guys help stretch the floor.

I think he was in there to get a few cheep fouls and stop the bigs of Texas.
 
He looked alright. Had a couple bad fouls where he was out of place. Had a classic Percy Gibson patented "get triple teamed and still throw it up with the left hand" shot. Better than I expected but still not where he needs to be to get minutes.
 
Percy probably wishes he'd stuck with his original commitment or chosen another of the programs that were involved in recruiting him after the coach left.

Niang 18 points 6 assists. Ejim 17 points 10 rebounds. Percy can give us some minutes but not that kind of production

Well, he's got a redshirt and one season of eligibility left so if he wants to pursue that, maybe he will.

I like Percy but sometimes he gets to selfish and doesn't pass the rock. But i think he should get 6-8 minutes every game - adds depth, rebounding, and takes away a foul from one of the starters. Royce made Percy look great as a freshman.

I feel like Fred frequently says that about Percy, Edozie and SDW, but rarely follows through. There are obviously reasons, why Fred doesn't trust these players to play.
 
He is horrible on offense and makes bad decisions with the ball. The one time he got the ball yesterday he should have past it back out, instead he tried to force it against packed in defense.
And after a D rebound he made a completely unnecessary pass that went out of bounce and gave Texas the ball back.

When he is in he frustrates the hell out of me. Just rebound/ play Hard defense and make the simple pass Percy.
 
After refs put 3 fouls on all of our bigs early in the 2nd half, I definitely thought Percy should have made another appearance. Nobody could afford to play real defense and we also quit rebounding. Having a big that is not a 3 pt threat on the court does not destroy spacing. Plenty of teams have figured out how to do it.
