Three pieces of bread, toasted or not it's your choice. Two pieces have peanut butter. The third has jelly, put it on one of the pb slices then jelly the other side and put the third piece on top. Triple decker pb&j.mmmmmmm....

Rule 1: toast the wheat bread. If it's wonder you take too many carbs. That's the only healthy thing you will ever hear from me.
Rule 2: PB first on one side, let it melt a touch.
Rule 3: Jelly, that means Jelly you fool, not preserves! If you want preserves that means you are the douche who puts camembear (exactly, I can't f'n spell it, it's stupid!) on a grilled cheese.
Rule 4:
Haven't seen this covered yet, but you cut the sandwich diagonally, not in a cross!

It's a PB&J, not Duck Confit with a Demi Reduction. Next up Kraft Mac and Cheese!

I've never had a pb&j in my life, true story. No real reason, parents never made it and just never had one after leaving the nest. My mom is a spaz and won't mix anything at all. I had jelly sandwiches, pb sandwiches, never together

Is she close to someone with a peanut allergy? When my youngest sister was born with peanut and nut allergies we had to switch to putting jelly on first, then PB (or use two knives) so we didn't contaminate the jelly.

She hates finding traces of peanut butter in the jelly jar and vice versa. An OCD thing that doesn't line up with almost any one of her other behaviors.

What kind of heathen has jelly sandwiches?

This thread just inspired me to have a late nite PB&J - peanut butter (one side) and grape on toasted oatmeal bread.

I personally don't think there's a wrong answer as far as jelly, I just like grape and I really like blueberry preserves.

Was trying to reduce carbs by eliminating a piece of bread and discovered this...
1. Spread jelly top to bottom down the middle 1/3rd to 1/2 of the slice.
2. Put peanut butter on the two outside edges of the bread slice.
3. Fold slice of bread in half touching peanut butter edges together.
4. Eat and enjoy.

You get a nice mix of both tastes in each bite. Also you can adjust amount of either item depending on your preference for jelly or peanut butter. Lastly, the jelly is less likely to slide out.

In college we were working with a guy from Scotland. A buddy of mine was shocked when the subject came up and he said he had never had peanut butter. So the next time we were together my buddy brought the Scot a PB&J. He tried the sandwich but it was clear he wasn't impressed. I guess similar to vegemite, peanut butter is something of an acquired taste - it's just that most American kids acquire that taste early in life.
