Outcoached in Every Way

As I see it, there are a lot of realities throughout this thread.

- coaches had a good game plan
- players executed and were successful
- opposing team makes adjustments
- we struggle to make plays
- we struggle to make plays because there is clearly a talent gap
- so while the effort is there by the players, the talent gap leaves little to no margin for error
- coaches made a few really poor decisions during the game, that has been a regular theme at times too
- I believe some of the defensive schemes are not helping negate the talent gap
- I believe some of the 2nd half play calling could have been better
- I also believe our W/L results will not get us better players from this coaching staff
- I don't think a new coaching staff will guarantee improved results
- I am tired of losing the way we lose

As it relates to the officials, questionable calls will never go away, especially at ISU. Be better and try to be in a position where the lousy call(s) don't determine your fate.

My Texas buzz has definitely wore off.......The most disappointing is the secondary/pass defense coaching or lack there of. This game is most squarely on that, IMO. Lord, how many games can this be directly attributed to. 3rd and 20, no problem. This is not an occaisional fluke.....every freaking team we play converts on passing downs. I watched end of Indiana/Michigan and it was similar. The SUCKED on pass defense.....to the point it is the absolute glaring single source of thier failure....that is coaching, philosophy, and recruiting of corners and safeties. I do not know if we had a pass interference today.......we may not have, but that is because our guys were often 15 yards off in thier bend-don't-win soft zone crap. Wally has had a few good games these years, but generally our guys are not in position to make a defensive pass play, they do not make it when other division 1 players would be doing it, and we lose games because of it. Much like getting rid of Mangino, you need to get rid of something that is not a winning component. Wally's defense at this school, with this talent and our competition, is not winning. The soft zone 10 yard cushion is so counter-intuitive and wrong. Of course, we knew this 4 years ago.

One of our defenders never recovered his body position to defend four straight times against Ateman. He must improve or the B12 receivers will have their way. Ateman essentially was the difference.

So where are all those big 12 caliber depth players you plan to use when rushing every play? Have you not realized the talent drop from the starters to the backups? ISU does not have the bodies to rush every play. And their offense line picked up almost all the late rushes in the 2nd half showing our team was pretty gassed.
Like I said, you are being crybabies
being a cry baby for what? Not excepting failure? For Wanting to watch a complete football game? For not being ok with moral victories anymore? If so then yes. I'm a cry baby.

Why don't you try holding yourself to the same standards you hold the coaches? "Excepting" failure? Apparently you ACCEPT failure every day in your personal life, but that is OK. I hope you don't claim a degree from Iowa State, that would be embarrassing.

If I failed 26 out 34 times (76.47% of the time), I would reevaluate and make some key changes in my life.

Not necessarily. If you had a bunch of enablers around you telling you it wasn't your fault, that you were dealt a bad hand in life, that all your neighbors who were succeeding had an easier path to success, and that there was no prospect to get better you might not change what you are doing.

Why don't you tell us about all of your accomplishments and let us judge whether you are a failure just as you pass judgment on the fb team?

If you're going after his spelling, fix your punctuation.
Another solution would be to accept that many of us hate losing and the pile of excuses people use to pretend it's an acceptable habit. Youy call either way.

Considering that Stat is 8 more successes than you can claim, you hardly have room to criticize.

The difference between the coaching staff and I is that I won't make that mistake again, while our staff seemingly makes the same mistakes game in and game out.

I would also hold back on throwing insults around about my personal life when you just lost your **** about a wording mistake on the internet.

Rhoads doesn't change what he is doing because he has talked himself into believing we aren't good enough so we have to make schematic adjustments to compensate for our lack of talent. That is 100% why I think he needs to be gone. You cannot play scared. Do you think Peavy plays scared? He is the only d-back we have right now that doesn't **** himself when the ball is thrown his way. He is also a freshmen. Lanning doesn't play scared, nor does Lazard. You can see where the drop off is in mental toughness. I don't want to hear about being out matched physically, we won that game on the field and gave it away once again with conservative defensive sets. Also, why are you blizting corners when thats where we are getting beat? Just rush up the middle for crying out loud they are timing routes, fast point to an object is a straight line.

Still waiting to hear about the ISU coach that consistently won against higher ranked teams. Since so many fans find that formula so easy.

First, I wasn't going after his spelling. He used a completely wrong word, though he spelled it correctly, so I give him credit for that.
Second, there is nothing wrong with my punctuation. You just failed twice and don't have a problem accepting that.
Third, if you don't accept failure, what are you doing to change things. The answer is nothing, so you accept it as much as anybody else.

Everyone is higher ranked than us. I wonder why that is.

Obviously you have an axe to grind, unfortunately everyone else is using the grinding wheel. Like I said before, you are using a loser's mentality. Who cares about the number next to their names? Do you think Holm cared about how dominant Rousey was before she put her to sleep? Our problem is we have no killer instinct.

Actually, your punctuation was hideous. You're just too self-righteous in this thread to accept that as easily as you accept Cyclone defeats and a losing culture.

Since you're feeling so feisty today, let me reassure you that Paul is a good guy. He'll still invite you to the family Christmas celebration.

How is that? I was right, you were wrong, "except" it.

Tell me where the punctuation is incorrect.
