Outcoached in Every Way

For those of us that are football illiterate, can you give some specific examples of how we were out coached in the second half?

We had 104 yards of total offense in the second half. 307 in the first half. We were out coached in the second half.

ISU had plays in the 2nd half in position to pick up first downs. Lanning had a bad 2nd half with poor passes and hesitating to run. Kid is awesome and young. He's gonna get better. But he didn't do what ISU needed in the 2nd half to win.

First pass on the 2nd to last possession is perfect example. Wide open Montgomery for a likely TD. 10 yards overthrown.

Dammit coach - why didn't you run out there to help him throw it?

Again, I agree with what you are saying. However, that does not mean we were not out-coached. OSU made adjustments to stop us, and it worked. We did nothing, like usual.

You "didn't make adjustments" people are idiots. Let me understand this right - the players were solely responsible for the first half success and the second half failure was solely on the coaches. Sooo, I guess the players put together the first half game plan and called the plays, then at half time the coaches took over. This "adjustments" complaint proves that you don't know what the hell you are talking about. There is a reason games are 60 minutes. The longer the game, the more the bigger, stronger, faster, more talented teams are going to show themselves. It has nothing to do with halftime adjustments.

When we have 300 yards the first half and 100 in the 2nd half we were out coached. When we score 4 times in the first half (including 3 drives in a row) and once in the second half we were outcoached. When it's 3rd and LONG multiple times and they get it every time in the 2nd half we were outcoached. When it's 3rd and inches and we pass from the shotgun we were outcoached.

I'm not doubting there are things the staff could do different. What I am refuting are the babies that week after week 100% blame coaching when there were brilliant coaching moves to put ISU in position to win. And there are facts there in the 2nd half were coaches had the players in a spot to win and the players didn't come thru.

Wrong. Coaches call good plays first half. Other coaches realize said plays are good and adjust their defense. Our coaches don't realize this and continue to call same plays. Plays don't work. Coaches scratch head.

Just got done with interviews. The ISU staff thought that third-and-one was a first down and called a play accordingly.

This is almost unbelievable.
