OUR team !!!!!!!

I dunno.... In the last 20 years I've seen games where ISU gave up 63 points in the first half and another where a team ran for 624 yards. OH and last year where a team ran for 510 yards and threw for additional 200+.

Saturday seemed pretty tame in the all time sense for ISU football.

However, this was the all-time record.

Well said, but don't get your hopes up to get alot of people to completely agree with you. The majority of the people who look at the big picture this way have either already decided to stop looking at the boards for now or avoided them altogether, after the loss. But nevertheless, you brought up some good points!

Please, educate me on the big picture. Should we not be concerned that we're headed for another two win season? It's okay that we gave TTU a total yardage record on Saturday? If you know about the big picture could you give me a time hack on when the winning starts? Next season? The next one?

I also just want to throw out there that it seems Rhoads is losing the team, his vision of the team, and confidence within himself. As HC, it is his responsibility whatever happens on that field. Him throwing Netten under the bus was a big red flag to me. A good HC never blames his players publicly, a good HC takes responsibility publicly for his players and team, and handles the rest internally and quietly. A kicker is not going to save this season.

love ISU and the OP's optimism, but take a look at StubHub NOW for OSU @ ISU Nov 14th. And this is before we get drilled by TCU, Baylor, Texas and OU.

If you hold out you may get seats in the new SEZ club for like $20. Tickets are going for like $8-9 now in the normal stadium

Love CPR, but if he loses out that will put him at 7 wins in 3 years. What other coach survives that?
And rounding up that is like 1 million dollars per win on his salary alone in the past 3 years at 2.33 win average.

sign me up for that job.

A) Calling a spade a spade is not "ripping on players"; nobody should be accused of the latter because they rightly concede that our football team is terrible.

B) If players can't handle criticism, that's their problem, not ours (I'm talking about the 99.9% of us that don't tweet ridiculously nasty and personal things to them, etc.). These are grown adults getting a world-class education for free, being coached by people who take home six- or seven-figure salaries...they don't need to be coddled.

C) I absolutely do not believe in judging other fans by how much they do or don't "support" the teams. I don't care if you wrote the check to bowl in the south end zone or you're a teenager who's never spent a dime on a ticket, none of us has the right to claim superiority in the "supporting the team" department.

Dear Dr. Leath,

We have a winning problem down at JTS. Suggest you check it out.

However, this was the all-time record.

The 1995 game featured the all time record for most yards allowed... 776. Just like Saturday,

Saturday wasn't even the most yards Tech has ever thrown for against us... That was 2003 and they rolled up 775 that day. A whopping 1 yard less...

Some of you have short memories.

Stop making me laugh like an idiot at work. lmfao

Yeah, good idea. Keep showing up to home games and showing JP that we are happy with these ****** results. Not for me. I'm done. I love ISU and I love the clones, but I'm done with being an absolute ******* joke in the college football world.

Yeah, I was at the game that day. kNU scored on their first 10 possessions and it wasn't even as close as the final 73-14 final score indicated. Late in the 3rd quarter the Fuskers were sending high school recruits who were just there on their official visits into the game and they were still scoring touchdowns.

So one yard here or there?

Gold standard in Iowa State ineptitude right there.

The biggest reason I still go is for those who do work their tails off for the school we all love.

Guys like Lazard deserve a full stadium for the effort and commitment they've shown. Completely get wanting a new coaching staff and I'd like to see one as well, but I still hope people go and support the players that do give their all.

Tech is better than people give them credit. Richardson just isn't a gunslinger. Our d was tired and made lazy errors. Most of the problem was the defensive game plan. We play scared.

What's disappointing is that it was just a few years ago that people were saying that the difference between the Cyclones then, versus teams in the past, was that everyone went into each game feeling like it was winnable. The team, the coaches, and the fans. That can't be said much anymore.
