OU would roll the hawkeyes

Oklahoma waves bye bye to the hoks as they fly by them in the CFB standings. I think it's pretty clear if Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame, who still plays Stanford will make up the top 4 if they all win out. Even if the hoks win out. Hilarious!

You should have ended this with a mic drop. You're pretty good at those.

Not a chance in hell. If MSU/OSU and undefeated Iowa meet in the Big Ten Championship game, then the winner of that will go to the CFP. The real battle will be between OK and ND then.

I've been saying it forever. Look how tavernhok tails pop whenever this gets mentioned. There is insecurity there. Even the great Gonzo has to go to the "whatever helps you sleep at night" derpage.

It's been an amazing season so far. Makes me want to dance.

In some strange way I actually feel sorry for Iowa fans. They still have this idea in their heads that they are going to make the playoffs. It's not going to happen. The playoff selection committee has performed one of the greatest troll jobs in history.

Please don't feel sorry for Hawk fans. Seriously. What's going on right now is absurdly entertaining. I can't speak for anyone else, but I never in my wildest dreams thought Iowa was anywhere close to even being in the conversation for a run at the National Championship. They've now been in that conversation for weeks and they are still undefeated. It's been a fun season no matter how it ends up.

It's kinda like the Paul Rhoads situation. I was reading some of his former players comments and I listened to his press conference, and I found myself sort of feeling sorry for him. Then I thought to myself "Wait a second... this guy is getting paid millions to quit his job and he already made millions as a football coach. He will most definitely get another job coaching football in some capacity. Why in the hell am I feeling sorry for him?".

To be fair... I don't think Iowa is in the conversation for the national title. Iowa has had a nice season beating up on a cupcake schedule but they will not be able to compete with the big boys in college football should they luck out and make the playoffs. I'm not sure what I would like to see more... Iowa flameout in Lincoln on Friday or face Alabama or Oklahoma in the national championship game and get routed by 50+.

No Iowa doesn't get routed, they always keep it close.

Going 12-0 and then beating a top 10 team in MSU/Michigan/OSU would not be "lucking out".

It sure would suck to make it to the title game and get beat. Worst thing ever.

The hate is strong with this one-what a great life you must lead. Lol

What I think is critical to this conversation as I prepare to go to Thanksgiving with a majority of ISU grads, is that I bought a ham just in case the turkey gets dried out.

I'd be shocked if the topic of football came up at all. And if it does, it would be in an intelligent and respectful manner.

God made certain rules in this world. One is the 90/10 rule. So let's all vote for the guy that will make Murika great again, eat turkey, or ham if the turkey is dry, and ice cream. Because I like ice cream. Not often, but I do like ice cream from time to time. As do the 10. the 90? No self control.

Well, I was almost right. Instead of the hoks losing their last 3, they will only lose their last 2. I forgot to take into account the fact the Nebraska QB might be the worst QB in the nation. Iowa didn't win the game, he single handedly lost it for nebby. But iowa gets the dub. Finally time to put up or shut up hoks. You are playing for the playoffs, or the Peach bowl. No roses for you.

Iowa's best comparison to a big 12 team is TCU, look at their 2 common opponents (ISU, MInny) TCU played both on the road and won both games more convincingly than Iowa did but in similar fashion. IMO, that's still a really good team, pry rated in the 8-12 range.

What I don't get about the Hawks is, a month ago, no one gave them respect because of their schedule, even though they had beaten the toughest teams they would face all year. Fast forward a month when they beat 4 teams with losing records, the worst teams in their division/conference and people all of the sudden respect them? Were people really not convinced until they ran the gauntlet of Purdue, Minnesota and Nebraska? Seems like it should have been the other way around but ESPN has to protect their cash cow.
