And there it is folks.
Its called using an example people can relate to. Do you have another recent example of a loss that shouldn't have happened to a good isu team?

All you can go by is what the record says. Do I think notre dame/Oklahoma st/florida are great teams after what I saw saturday?
Nope. I see no great teams compared to some years.
Of course if Iowa keeps winning it won't matter. If Iowa is 13-0 they are in and you go from there. I would take that chance no matter how you got there any day. I don't think any team is unbeatable. If this year there was a USC from the mid 2000s I would say there was no chance for anyone to touch them.
Complaining about Iowa's schedule is as productive as counting dimples on a golf ball. It is what it is. Winning the games still has to happen. Anyone can trip up when they shouldn't (see UAB basketball) the good teams don't.
I know you're not big into history, but go back and look at the 2002 Buckeyes-not impressive at all, but just kept getting by all the way to a national championship. A fair comparison to where we are right now.I'm not complaining about Iowa's schedule. I just don't think they are one of the best teams in the country because they've played such a weak slate and haven't looked that impressive beating all these terrible teams. I don't think that's being unreasonable
Iowa was gifted an incredibly, laughably weak schedule and they are taking care of business with it. 11-0 is hard to do no matter how poor the quality of opponents are and I wish I was in your shoes this year.
Do I think Iowa is one of the best teams in the country? Absolutely not. I don't think that's me being biased either...I mean you said it yourself, the 4th best team Iowa has played this year is the worst team in the Big 12 conference and is the equivalent to an 8 man Iowa High School football team.
Wow, the butt hurting has carried over into basketball now, huh? I know hok fans are upset with the fact that their football team is undefeated, and still gets no respect.
Yet, ISU Basketball has been getting respect from everyone nationwide only 2 weeks into the season. Even after last years loss in the tourney, ISU was on everyone's radar for this year. That's gotta hurt the hoks fans who are screaming "Respect us".

They have all played games that you look at and say "Ehh that wasn't very impressive". Bama has had one of those games against Ole Miss, but since then they've been rolling. So in my opinion who makes the playoffs is going to come down to Bama and whomever else continues to take care of business. It's looking like Iowa will meet Michigan State in the B10 Title game and I think that game is a toss up. I honestly think they will make it in.
Bama has played more than one unimpressive game. They almost got beat by Tennessee and Arkansas. I would put Nebraska in UT and Arky's categories as far as talent on the team. Then you factor in motivation, home game and 2:30 kickoff and you put it all together and Iowa will have their hands full. I still think they will win somehow.

Lol you can't be serious. Both of those teams are better than Nebraska.
They are very similar IMO. Tennessee and Nebby both have had some tough breaks and hard losses. Arkansas lost to Toledo and Texas Tech.
Tennessee is 7-4 with a top 20 schedule
Arkansas is 6-5 with the 3rd hardest schedule in the country
Both are receiving votes in this weeks AP Poll
Nebraska is 5-6 and isn't even in the top 50 for SOS

Might be the kiss of death since it seems the narrative from Iowa fans has been not quite believing a win every week.
I don't see Iowa losing to Nebby--this isn't Nebby from when the last time they were good 15-20 years ago. And Iowa's the type of team that, with a one-game situation, can beat the East winner, as those teams haven't exactly set the world on fire every week.
If the MSU's, Michigan's, and OSU's were on Iowa's schedule, they'd probably drop 2 of them as talent would be the difference. That's still historically a nice season at Iowa though...this season's team seems to play well together and are well coached from what I've seen.
