Iowa can never marginalize a win over ISU, and KF has so stated this several times about the schedule. This year. Almost every week in pressers. On the national media.
This should actually give ISU more concern than Iowa, because based on ISU's historic level of play at Iowa, there is no reason they aren't winning more games.
This entire argument is almost laughable. You can think or say whatever you want, but experts pick Iowa as a contender this year. It could all change next week. And I suspect it will for reasons I stated in the Nebby thread.
When ISU got beat by Alabama Birmingham, I didn't pee myself with joy. Some did, they are as sick and delusional as the ISU fans on here waiting for Iowa to lose. I'd think both sets of idiot fans would have more important things to be concerned about.

Ames is a hot bed for football. One of these days bits going to click and then everyone better watch out. I could see isu becoming a perennial title contender. Its the water.
Mostly its fun to watch this board try find a way to belittle something that will never,ever, ever happen to its team. It would take all power 5 teams except isu giving up football and Mac schools fielding teams with cheerleaders for isu to crack the top 5 (hell top 10).
Not bragging at all, just bringing up a fact to support my reply that we do play actual games.
A lot of bad teams lose to good teams. Way to go on being the patsy on their schedule.
Isn't that crazy that we're a patsy on some team's schedules this year but we're actually the 4th hardest game on your schedule right now?
Why are you being such a taint? It's one thing to get involved in a conversation and call somebody out for bad arguments, it's another to be a giant **** about it.
Of course you're going to see cyclone fans try to rationalize Iowa's season. Iowa fans will do the same during the basketball season. Doesn't make them right.

Being bad and complaining about a tough schedule means little. Beat the teams you should beat (Mac schools , terrible KSU teams) and then complain about Iowa schedule.
Iowa has won each game they played. Good or bad competition they have won the game. Unless you have a way of changing a schedule you sound like someone who expects everything to be even. There are two unbeaten teams left. One is Iowa, no matter how much that bugs you its true.
Iowa was gifted an incredibly, laughably weak schedule and they are taking care of business with it. 11-0 is hard to do no matter how poor the quality of opponents are and I wish I was in your shoes this year.
Do I think Iowa is one of the best teams in the country? Absolutely not. I don't think that's me being biased either...I mean you said it yourself, the 4th best team Iowa has played this year is the worst team in the Big 12 conference and is the equivalent to an 8 man Iowa High School football team.
All you can go by is what the record says. Do I think notre dame/Oklahoma st/florida are great teams after what I saw saturday?
Nope. I see no great teams compared to some years.
Of course if Iowa keeps winning it won't matter. If Iowa is 13-0 they are in and you go from there. I would take that chance no matter how you got there any day. I don't think any team is unbeatable. If this year there was a USC from the mid 2000s I would say there was no chance for anyone to touch them.
Complaining about Iowa's schedule is as productive as counting dimples on a golf ball. It is what it is. Winning the games still has to happen. Anyone can trip up when they shouldn't (see UAB basketball) the good teams don't.
I'm not complaining about Iowa's schedule. I just don't think they are one of the best teams in the country because they've played such a weak slate and haven't looked that impressive beating all these terrible teams. I don't think that's being unreasonable
Iowa is better than a lot of people want to give them credit for. I think Alabama is playing at a level higher than anyone else is right now. After Bama I believe the other teams in the conversation could beat each other on any given day. Clemson and Iowa are both unbeaten and they deserve the credit they are getting for that regardless of schedule. Everyone knows it is incredibly difficult to go unbeaten no matter what your schedule is. See Houston, Bama, and OU for example. They all have losses that are hard to explain. You have to give credit where it is due, and Clemson and Iowa have earned it because they haven't slipped up.

They have all played games that you look at and say "Ehh that wasn't very impressive". Bama has had one of those games against Ole Miss, but since then they've been rolling. So in my opinion who makes the playoffs is going to come down to Bama and whomever else continues to take care of business. It's looking like Iowa will meet Michigan State in the B10 Title game and I think that game is a toss up. I honestly think they will make it in.

Which today, 12 weeks into the season, has still been tougher than that of Baylor.
Baylor's schedule has been Oklahoma and then a pretty good Okie State team. The rest has been pretty terrible. Their OOC was one of the worst I can remember
