Hard to score when your old teammate will either jack it up or pass to one player.
I had a hawk family member approach me yesterday and gave me the typical "cyclown" grief, unprovoked. Of course I quickly said "thankfully you all didn't have to adjust your plans today to watch a second round game" and they immediately replied "oh, we still have our womens team alive!"

Too much of the color gold in the stands. Really threw Iowa’s shot off. The gold clashed too much with the color of the Wilson ball and that is the reason they lost.

If we can win today then we get a 10 seed to go to elite eight.
Hawkeye fans will tell you that the higher seeds are tougher. Their men lost to a 12 and women a 10. So the higher the better.
Like end of days type stuff. I’m not expecting to win either game but two wins would be glorious.

Ha HA Saw a number of hoks all decked out in their crap in Hy-Vee this morning. Wondered what was going on since their beloved hoks were out of the tournament, then realized their women still had to play. Does my heart good to know that they are all drowning in sorrow now.

All of the hawk fans I know had gone all in on the women's team after the men lost. Most had this illusion (probably from hawk media) that they had a clear path to the Final 4 for some reason.

Both Iowa State men's and women's could very well lose today. Nobody expected the men to be playing in the NCAA, let alone win a game in the tourney, going into the season. Win or lose, the program's turnaround in just one year was nothing short of amazing.
If the women lose, it will be disappointing, but they too had a pretty darn good year.
I think ISU goes 1-1 today. We shall see.
