Oklahoma Game Thoughts

Because I am a glutton for punishment, I started re-watching the game. I went frame by frame on the Purdy scoop and score fumble. Before he got hit, his arm was moving forward and the ball left his hands, then hitting the defender who was in front of him. Attached picture was before he got hit. Should it have been an incomplete pass? And yes, I know he should have taken care of the ball, shouldn't have put himself in that position, blah blah blah. Should it have been incomplete? Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Vaughn is built like Jeremiah George was. Not the biggest guy, but still a good LB.
Been spoiled last 4 years with All Big 12/ All America Mike Rose who this year is 250 lbs. at 6'4" and runs like he does, always in position it seems.

Rose should make someone a pretty nice LB in the NFL. I hope he does great at the next level.

Btw, how much did Mike weigh as say a Fresh and/or Sophomore?

That's OU for you. They get a lot of incorrect calls at home in their favor. Very similar to GB in Lambeau.

I originally put fault on the play call for having Purdy roll to his left, thus having to make a very difficult throw. From the video, play was designed to roll to right. When pursued, he reversed field to the left. Unfortunately, he misjudged the speed of the closing defender, and held onto ball too long while trying to make a very difficult play.
