Report: Ohio State Football Dealing with More Positive CoVID-19 Cases

Ohio State is preparing to play on Saturday in the Big Ten championship game against Northwestern, but it sounds like they will be short-handed again.

Yeah, that's fair. They did lose the head to head battle.

Yeah honestly I don't feel that bad for Indiana. Yes they changed the rules, and technically they have a gripe because the rules stipulated a certain number of game had to be played. But at the same time, Ohio State hadn't lost in conference play and Indiana lost once...to Ohio State. So at least Ohio State proved who was better between them.

On the other hand, it was Ohio State's fault they canceled the Illinois game when it could have been played. I think that's why I am most upset about the conference changing the rules. Ohio State knew they needed "x" amount of games and they purposely canceled one when they were within the parameters to still play per the conference.

Listen the 21 day rule makes no sense, but to only change it for the sake of the college playoffs is beyond hypocritical.

why would Northwestern agree to play if B1G is doing everything possible to get OSU to the playoffs? Won't they direct the refs to make sure OSU wins on Saturday? We saw that happen to ISU in previous years.

I can't imagine how pissed Indiana fans are. Your team did all the right things and your conference just says "nope" and puts in a team that didn't manage the pandemic at all.

Wellll...they didn't do ALL the right things...they had an opportunity to beat Ohio State and didn't.

I Am mildly surprised that news of this even leaked out. I would bet there was an intention to keep this from being disclosed, but somebody blew it.

I don't have an issue with the Big10 changing from 21 to 10 days for the CFP because the ACC, SEC & Big12 all use a 10 day rule. Personally, the # of day rule should have been set up by the playoff committee as every school should abide by the same rules related to Covid. If a school wanted to implement more strict requirements, that is up to them.

I'll respectfully disagree with you, they made their own rules let them live with them. They've made a mess of this covid FB season I hope they miss the playoffs. If they win they still have only played 6 games screw them.
