Ohio State Covid Tests

Looks like OSU is having player covid issues:

And is looks like the Big 10 will please them again by changing more of their rules to make it possible for those players to play in the playoffs:

Also - who is this guy, and why isn't he on Twitter? Or maybe I'm just bad at finding people on Twitter, but it's usually pretty simple.. Anyone of prominence picking this up yet?

That last bit on waving the 21 days, does anyone have a count on the number of changes the league and made or manuvers the b10 has made to position osu for the CFP.

I don't have an issue with the Big10 changing from 21 to 10 days for the CFP because the ACC, SEC & Big12 all use a 10 day rule. Personally, the # of day rule should have been set up by the playoff committee as every school should abide by the same rules related to Covid. If a school wanted to implement more strict requirements, that is up to them.

Sad day when Big10 ethics are worse than Clemson's. At least Dabo held Sunshine out of their biggest game of the year because of predetermined protocols.

I mean with what we've seen at Pedo, Ohio St, Michigan State and Iowa, ethics and the big 10 don't belong in the same sentence. I guess they did draw a line in the sand when Nebraska had the audacity to want to play football, rape is fine, racism is fine but don't dare defy the decisions that come down from their cult leaders.

CFP can't allow a semifinal game to get canceled. If Ohio state can't play Saturday they can't trust them on the first.

That brings up something I hadn't considered (maybe there's an official plan for this, but I haven't encountered it): What would happen if a team can't play in the playoff due to virus? Unless official testing is taking place sooner than week-of for the postseason -- what if someone can't play? Do they just forfeit and the semifinal opponent advances (which is unfair to the other 2 teams)? There'd be no realistic way to re-seed for a 3-team field.

And having the 5th place team step in wouldn't work unless it's the No. 4 that can't play (see "re-seeding" above) plus would be committed to a bowl within 2 days of the semifinal. Can a team abandon the bowl to be a fill-in for playoff? (No realistic way to play both, even if a team wanted to do it).

Sorry for the rambling thoughts, off the top of my head.

They'd be in the NY6 automatically as the B1G champ anyway, so their ranking relative to ISU wouldn't be an issue.

It'd only matter in terms of a potential playoff bid. But no, Northwestern is not jumping into the playoff with a win over OSU
