Looks like OSU is having player covid issues:

And is looks like the Big 10 will please them again by changing more of their rules to make it possible for those players to play in the playoffs:

Sounds like it's a WR (Chris Olave or Garrett Wilson probably) plus a few others (presumably non-starters). I'm assuming they have some more testing before Saturday, but it would take quite a few more positive tests to put the game in jeopardy.

If one of those two are out that’s a big deal. If BOTH were out that would be huge for NWs chances.

I can't imagine how pissed Indiana fans are. Your team did all the right things and your conference just says "nope" and puts in a team that didn't manage the pandemic at all.

Listen, I think changing the rule was wrong, however, Indiana got to play them. Had they not played them, then I think they'd have a better case but Indiana didn't do all the things they needed.

OSU is also not going to be forthcoming about this stuff. No way.

Maybe... Maybe Northwestern could actually- win?
dont kid yourself. The B16 would just say it was an exhibition game and that it didn't count.

Side note: I am sure all those 5 and 4 star players they have can fill in just fine, since the keep passing the eye test.

This just in from the Big 10 Offices.

"Due to the Covid-19 outbreak at Ohio State University the Big 10 is concerned that Northwestern University will have its team at full strength while Ohio State will be missing key players due to this unfortunate development.

To even the playing field, depending on how many OSU starters are affected, the Big 10 has modified how points will be scored in the CCG. OSU touchdowns will now be scored as 12 points. Field goals will count for 6 points. PATs are now designated as 3PATs and will count for 3 points. Upward adjustments may be made if even more OSU starters are out.

Northwestern points scored (if any) will be tallied in the standard 6, 3, and one values."
