**** OFFICIAL VEISHEA 2012 ****

Saw an ambulance taking a stretcher into Kildee just now. Don't know if it's a VEISHEA related incident, but I like to assume it is.

MissouriClone and I ditched a couple beer cans on campus Tuesday night hoping to see them on our walk to classes today, but no dice. Someone picked them up... fun wreckers.
Good news! Although my can on campus got picked up, the can I left on the sidewalk on Stange Tuesday night is still there! Happy VEISHEA everyone!

Keep fighting the good fight!

Just got to Ames, about to tap keg #1.

Campus is beautiful this time of year, yoga pants are running wild!!

I have huge plans. My wife works nights this weekend, so I get to hang out with both kids all weekend long. I may have a beer tonight after they go to sleep.

Damn I'm getting old.

Iposted this in the Friday Confession thread, but thought it fit here better so I will repost.

We used to just sit out on the lawn of our rental plya cards, listen to music, and get **** faced. Then we'd head to parties already trashed. I admittedly don't remember going home most nights of VEISHEA.

One night I remember very fondly though. I had just dumped my GF. It wasn't working out and I wasn't happy.
We headed to a party that night with a group of friends in town. I ended up making out with two girls from the group and was having a hell of a time deciding which girl to choose. (I didn't think they would be up for sharing but maybe I should have pursued it.)
Anyways, later that night my ex shows up. She probably thought that she could talk to me about things and maybe get back together. Of course, there I was dancing with both girls in the living room. She was visibly crushed. I think she turned around and left pretty much immediately. I kind of felt bad for a few seconds, but then I went back to mackin'.

It was a very good night. Real boost to the ole self esteem. I ended up making out with the brunette as I thought she was probably the safer bet. Didn't go any further though. I should have picked the red-head. Sure all redheads are crazy as ****, but pretty much all of them are tigers in the sack.

Graduated in '04... Riots were nuts. I lived at the corner of Lincoln and Hyland and I actually moved my car out of our lot as they were flipping them in campustown. Witnessed the infamous burning dumpster, the brick being thrown at the fire truck personally. Also watched a girl get ****** at two cops that made here dump her drink, walked 10 feet away turned around and threw her shoe at them... (idiot). She got tackled.

Cops in riot gear didn't help the situation at the beginning, but there was also a lot frustration on the students' part as it had been so controlled and militant. Veisha was pretty much lame the entire time I was in school (1999-2004), so I'm sad I missed the heyday before and in 2006.

I don't usually don't post on this forum, but I thought you guys would appreciate this:Tonight, I was at a bar on Welch when an attractive girl I vaguely recognized pulled me aside to tell me that she knew me from a class we both were taking. We ended up having an extensive conversation, and I felt that I had a good connection with her. Everything was going great until she introduced me to her boyfriend. Her boyfriend was Jake Knott. I defy anyone to have a more sad VEISHEA story than that.

So you met Johnnie Jindrich(sp?) tonight huh?
