MissouriClone and I ditched a couple beer cans on campus Tuesday night hoping to see them on our walk to classes today, but no dice. Someone picked them up... fun wreckers.
Hide them around until Friday and set yourself up for a drunken scavenger hunt this weekend.
I remember a few years back when I believe the band was Saliva played on Central Campus, that was awesome!

VEISHEA isn't just awesome because you get really, really drunk. It's also fun because there are soooo many people just walking around completely *********. There is carnival food on campus. Live music north of campus. And the cops don't give a **** about what you do! It is sooo much different from just any other weekend.

While i was in school it was an extra special occasion to drink. From 8am friday until 3am sunday it was drinking and some of the biggest parties all year.
Now that i've been out a few years? I come as much for the friends that come back to ames that weekend as anything. Its a spring version of Homecoming, and its great to see some of my friends that i dont get to see but a couple days a year anymore thanks to them moving all over. Most of them were also drinking friends, so its good to have some beers with them again as well.
I think 2006 and 2007 were the best VEISHEA's ever since the 04 riots. Those years had weather in the 70-80's with sunny skies, good concerts spread around central campus on 3 different stages, and insane amounts of people. We had huge house parties on Welch and Wood st those years. Some of my favorite memories of college come from those 2 weekends. Oh how I miss that...
Saw Royce at Cy's Roost! Bars were packed tonight as well. Could have walked in and thought it was a Friday or Saturday. Hoping I do good on this quiz at 8 am after a few rum and cokes.
He's definitely not exercising his right to carry a hammer, that's for sure...

I saw things I never thought Id see at VEISHEA. One particular story:
There was a party at my buddies apartment. It was rather large, I am guessing around 50-60 people. There was a beer bong. Now, not only were they using the beer bong on the balcony, they were doing multi level beer bongs on the Balcony facing Stanton at Cyclone Plaza. The cops were right there below them. The roomate goes to take the beer bong inside and drops it.....off the 3rd floor balcony.......onto the cops head. Then you may ask: how many tickets were given out? Zero. The cop laughed, took the bong and never showed up to the door or anything. I was amazed.
