Sure you can. We turned it over 14 times- hardly enough to solely cost us the game. If the refs call a straight game, we win.

I love the people that think you cannot blame refs for a loss. To deny the impact of certain calls is just dumb.

Have you ever seen a team hold a two point lead over the last 12 minutes of the game, despite only making two field goals from there on out? Unless we are talking middle school girls basketball i doubt it. Very, very, very questionable officiating the last 10-15 minutes of that game allowed Nebraska to win the game with free throws (combined with ISU turnovers at key times).
Can anyone, maybe someone who's been a fan since the 70's or something, tell me a Cyclone team that was as stinking thin as this one? It almost comical if it didn't suck so bad. This team just doesn't have bodies.
Bitter about losing the game that way, hate that it ends on the FT-line, and the worst part is that we seem to (as fans) get let down this way when it looks like we had it.
Hate losing to Nebby, but they aren't a bad team and we were on the road, short-handed and banged-up.

Agreed. We did just as much to kill ourselves with the turnovers and the dg iso sets, but they did shoot almost 2x as many FTs as us, and made more than we even attempted (despite us having a better FT percentage)
Sure they impact certain calls but dont blame a Single loss on the refs. Thats whiner talk. Sometimes you get the calls sometimes you dont. Its not like refs are robots who will get every thing right. So quit ******** about the refs, we were still in the game until the end wether or not the refs affected the game.
A lot of factors went into this one. I will never understand slowing the game down. Maybe if we're up 8, but not 4.
There is not one player that cost us this game. Few plays go the other way, and we win by one, you just never know. But what I do know is you can't question the effort, and the heart of this Iowa State basketball team. There a fun group of young men to watch and i'm fully behind them the rest of the way, no matter what.

I am almost always on your side on this topic...but there are exceptions, and I think tonight is one of them.
Nebraska shot 11 ft's the last 5:41 of the game...We shot 0.
Nebraska was up 2 with 12:00 left and only made two fg's from there on out. We win right?
On the majority of fouls called on us down the stretch the contact was anticipated by the official...only on a few of them was their enough contact to say it was a clear cut foul.
No fouls were called on Nebraska in the last 8:45 of the game...that's the last 8 minutes and 45 seconds of the game Nebraska was not whistled for one foul...not one...despite us continuing to attack the basket.
During that time 6 fouls were called on ISU.
Nebraska 63, Iowa State 62...I'd say blaming the refs is very warranted for this game IMO.
