Not gonna melt-down. Just picked a ******* awful time to play your worst game of the year. It happens, it's what makes March Madness, March Madness.
Players should be ashamed. Just pathetic. With the epic fan support they get, they give us that??
Excellent question. Usually Fred is smart about identifying the hot hand in the second half. But it was NOT Georges or Naz.
Absolutely it is. That one you could almost see coming. That team absolutely collapsed down the stretch. This one went in on a high...and ****** it away.
Just Ouch! What a painful way to end a great season! Sorry for Houge and BDJ, what a crappy way to go out! Thank you for a fun season, regardless!
Its guts wrenching right now, but cant say I am stunned. We have seen this time at there lowest lose to teams much worse then UAB. We had been playing with fire recently, and I feared it could come back and get us. You just keep waiting for that run, and it never happened. NCAA tourney is one of the best times of the year and its going to tough to enjoy it now.
You gotta rebound. Too many offensive rebounds given up and, in turn, second- and third-chance points. Brackets and heart broken.
Hey, I was arrogant too. I thought right until the end that they were going to win. In fact, I predicted how it would happen ... Hogue with a big 3 from the corner at the end. He has been making a lot of big 3s late in games. The ball came out to him, but he couldn't go straight up for the shot. I thought that was going to be the winner.
Not a good effort. Why did BDJ and Thomas sit most of the second half? Naz, Niang and Hogue were not present....
UAB wanted it a lot more than us, we got outrebounded and outhustled the entire game....there goes a 25 win season down the drain......
At least we beat KU twice.
Hopefully next year we can solidify around a stronger core. In all these bad losses we just kept subbing people in without finding a groove. We also can't let a Niang off day torpedo the team. When you fight through a slump during a tournament game you get bounced by a 13 seed.
And thanks BDJ, but I am not going to miss the pouting on the bench. It's too bad his transfer didn't work out the best for either party. Not a complete bust, but nothing like the stories of Kane and Babb and Royce. Good season, lots of bummers though.
