This is how I feel. I had a little bit of denial and shock, but then skipped right past pain, anger and depression, went right to laughing about how stupid it is that I still even follow ISU sports.
I'm not sure that I would call this a collapse. The biggest factors were us just not making shots we usually make (esp. Niang and Naz), UAB getting rebounds, and UAB getting blocks. A baby hook here or there going in for Niang and we win.
People at work don't seem to realize that I don't want to talk about the game right now. They also seem to think I care about their brackets. I hate everything right now.
In the same spot. Can't even get mad about it, all year this team played like they expected to show up and win, but after the second half against OU I thought they would play their way out of that mindset. Apparently they read the press all week and watched the bracket picks show them moving along so they mailed it in and didn't bring it.
Oh yeah, the good thing is, listening to the radio on the way back from the sports bar, Those same radio guys who swore Fred was the next Bulls coach, want no part of him now. lol.
Well... our guys managed to allow a team with far less talent beat them because they had far more desire. That is the most pathetic way of all to lose a game.
We could see evidence most of the season, it was one of those teams — 3-4-ish seed dynamic enough to surge to the Final Four, but flawed enough to get stung immediately. There was seemingly no in-between.

GRRRRRRRR I scheduled my vasectomy so I could have a reason to spend a few days on the couch watching ISU in the first and second rounds... now I'm stuck on the couch with a literal and figurative kicked in the nuts feeling.

Seriously, I'm supposed to go back to work for 3+ hours now. How am I supposed to do that?
Also, to all those who said we'd roll through this game, easy as pie, etc .... those who said UAB wasn't even going to film sessions because they knew they had no chance, etc .... take off, 'ya hosers.
