Official Meltdown thread

Ugghhh...just one of those nights when pretty much everybody played like crap. Ejim sucked, Niang sucked, Lucious had some good moments but also kind of sucked, Percy missed at least 3 free throws, Babb's offensive game was non-existent. Did anybody actually play well? Maybe Clyburn?

We really have no room for error. We cannot lose games like this, so what happens? We lose a game like that.

Worst loss of the Hoiberg era, without a doubt. Don't think there is much more that needs to be said.

Edit: OK, so I had forgotten about Drake last year. I think I had convinced myself that game never took place, kinda like the South Dakota State loss under McD.

And I was so close to getting tickets to the B12 in KC. Wow, reminds me of the Liberty Bowl.

I think most of us are guilty of thinking too highly of this team based on a few wins vs mediocre teams. We had not beaten anybody good and now have a bad loss. There is so many flaws on this team that are starting to get exposed. The performance against KU appears to be a fluke more then a sign of things to come. A win Saturday is so important right now against Kstate.
This is the hard truth. If we are not shooting really well, we wilt in every other aspect of the game. It is a character thing with several of these guys. I'm already looking forward to turning the page to the Thomas/Walker/Morris/Okoro era.

28 rebounds as a team. 10 of them came from our shooting guard. SMH.

A shooting guard who's also 6'7" and averages 7.5 per game. A shooting guard who's had 9+ rebounds in 6 of our games this year, and 8 if you want to say 8+. What's your point? It's not like he's 6'3"

This is probably going to be like last year where ISU looked like **** in the weekday game, and played like worldbeaters on Saturday's.

That was a bad, bad, team we just lost too.

It's all a bit disorienting, I think I just ****** in the fireplace.

IMO, not as bad of loss as at Drake last year. More damaging, but not as pathetic

Tough call on that one; if this game were in November, then yes, Drake is definitely the worse loss.

This is what happens when you play teams that play SLOWWWWW ball and it lulls you to sleep. Honestly I think that's our biggest thing. The guys get bored with it and then they stop making anything. It's hard to get pumped up in games like this.

It's how **** teams play, but it's a smart way to play when you know you're ****.

Except when we try to speed it up the team makes mistakes.

It is pretty hard to get excited about the rest of the season after that disaster. Our NCAA resume just got flushed down the toilet.

My point is that the rest of the team rebounded like ****.

It's hard if you're a mental midget and we have several of those guys.

Really? This thread got to page 4 before someone spoke up?

It's not Official without the *** OFFICIAL *** stars in the title.

When they beat KSU on Saturday, everyone will be back on the bandwagon. That game became a must win now though.

Every home game is a must win now.

I was just thinking that our KU performance was looking like a fluke. I don't think we make the tourney after the last couple have.
