Season over . . if we can't freaking DESTROY uni . . this team is a bottom feeder in the Big XII. Pathetic display of basketball.
Would an upset be against any team with a winning record? This team will finish 8th or 9th in a weak big 12.
Wow...Loss to Drake and UNI. Something has to change here. I don't care how bad we are you don't lose at home to UNI.
I am pretty much writing this season off. No PG or post play and no defense at all.
Pretty big downer considering highly touted all these players are.
Where the heck is Melvin? That wasn't allen was it?

I see your point, but two things really stick out to me. First, what have you seen so far that could possibly lead you to believe we will have a good season? 2 losses to MVC teams, a couple real close wins against vastly inferior talent. Second, there are so many areas of the game that scream poor coaching. A lack of effort, lack of rebounding, a lack of comprehension of time and situation, a lack of adjustments, etc.
I think the last 3 minutes says a lot about the state of this team. No coach with any grip on his team lets those guys take those shots. A well coached team knows the difference between a good shot and a bad shot, given time and situation. We have no concept of that.
When you lose to UNI and Drake, two in-state rivals, its VERY alarming and discouraging. We saw how much coaching means tonight and quite frankly Fred has been outcoached in several games this year.
May as well not even play the Kansas or Baylor games this season then huh?
Better yet, let's just cancel the rest of the season.
I can't disagree with this statement anymore. We can't lose to Drake/UNI and hope to fair well in the Big 12.
Losing to UNI and Drake at home is a ridiculous. Royce looks great when he palms the ball 30 feet from the hoop. In the meantime, he gets schooled by freaking Tuttle.
I would like someone to ask our staff how Sonnens and Morrison can get open looks all night, and we don't get Scotty 1 good look all night.
The best team we ever had would push the ball every time down the floor, and got so many open 3's because we would fly down the court, push to the middle then kick it out to Nurse, Horton, etc. This team walks is down the floor, and stands there until shooting a fade-away 3. Kobe gets that latitude, not Allen and Babb.
If I was Fred, I would make each player watch themselves get schooled by guys with much less talent. Challenge them, and the next time we play a really bad team bench anybody who doesn't hustle. This is embarrassing.

if effort is a problem early, it will be a problem all year long. Maybe these guys left or were asked to leave their previous schools for a reason. Fred has to learn that not all players are him. Some are lazy and do not have fundamentals.
Really? Destroy them? I'd start with getting on the winning side of things first.
