***OFFICIAL ISU vs UNI MBB THREAD ***

We could have easily won this game with some better defense. Even though we shot fairly poorly, if our defense was a little better on them...ballgame us

Game not over, but it's looking bleak.

This. This is it. We didn't play horribly and the melt-down **** that's going on right now should not be happening. This team is still unexperienced. UNI is a veteran team that made a hell of a lot of shots tonight. This is not a bad loss.

Sorry, but I'm going to yell. Don't take it personally.

BULL ******* ****. I DON'T CARE HOW GOOD OF A MID-MAJOR TEAM UNI IS. IOWA STATE SHOULD *NEVER*, REPEAT *NEVER*, LOSE TO UNI AT HILTON COLISEUM.

I'M SICK AND ******* TIRED OF THIS ****. I REMEMBER WHEN CYCLONE BASKETBALL MATTERED.

It doesn't matter. It's still UNI. This team is pathetic.

If that was all that was wrong I would agree...I can't be an apologist for lack of effort and determination. These guys are a bunch of individuals that don't give a **** about team. I would take a bunch of gritty, hustling white guys over a team with supposed "talent."
 
I thought basketball was a team game.........guess not when ur down n u play for ISU. Frustrating to watch.

Gotta get the ball out of Royce's hands. When we won by 20+ this weekend we had him on the block. Why change?

Babb and McGee are probably our best players overall, but they're probably 6th man types or role players on a good team.

It says it all that Bubu (walk on) is out there with under 3 min to play in a tight game.

tonight this is an accurate description. In fact I agree with this for the year so far. If they havent got fired up yet I dont know if they will.
 
Comes down to bench scoring...pretty sure everyone knew coming in that ISU wasnt going to be really deep. Right now its 33-15 UNI's bench.

Coaching goes a long, long way. That is how UNI can knock off teams. That's how they can knock off teams like Kansas, but we can't anymore.

The most talented team in the country usually doesn't WIN the national championship. They may go far, but they end up being beat by the more disciplined team with a little less talent.

I'm not saying he's wrong, we have lost 2 games so far... still a LOT of basketball to be played yet, some people have given up on the season already and we're what? 6 games into it?
 
Fundamentals what the **** is that? This team does not know that as we see that before our eyes.
 
Lazy. No effort. Probably a great pickup team. Freddie's coaching looks a lot like Morgan...Wayne's players had a slightly higher level of heart. No Magic.
