It'll get better. No way I'm ready to jump ship yet. I'm ready for a fish sandwich, but no jumping for me.
Yeah, this hurts. Yes, we look positively awful. Yes, it's easy to be ticked off when we look this bad. Leave the Big 12? Fire the coaching staff? What kind of ridiculous talk is that? Leave the Big 12 and go where? CUSA? The MAC? I for one still hold my head high when I say I am an Iowa State fan. We are going through horrid, difficult times right now but I can guarantee you that as bad as we are now, leaving the Big 12 would be the actions of a complete and total quitter. Firing the coaching staff would guarantee that we will NEVER have a competent staff willing to come to Ames. Take your "leave the conference" and "fire the staff" talk and go find another team that is more satisfying for you. I will always be a proud Cyclone no matter what.

We have the worst safeties in football. The worst
Couldn't get a stop on 3rd down all day long. We were pretty good on first and second down. Pathetic on 3rd down
Couldn't finish a couple drives
Got ****ed by the refs. How we got screwed on that call I will never know. That was X10 worse than the helmet to helmet call against Iowa. Truly makes me want to puke

Sorry I wanted to fix that for you. No matter how we spin it. We proved we are the worst team in the Big XII by far. And for anyone who brings it up, yes, we'd still be this bad in the Big 10.
Leave the conference? Hell at least we can say we are the worst team in arguably, the best conference in the country. It would suck to say we were the worst team in the worst conference in the country.
Amen brother. I started college Duncan's first year. He could beat Iowa, throw in an occasional upset and fold like a cheap tent the last few games like nobody else (maybe Walden). I have seen a few highs and a lot of lows but every morning I wake up a FREAKING CYCLONE FAN!
I've been doing exactly that for the last 35 years. I think I'm gonna die never seeing my 'Clones in a January bowl. Carry the torch for me will ya?
Hang in there. Mac got us close after 5 years and I think GC can get us over the hump by then. His year 5 is the non TX/OK schedule which doesnt mean much this year but the pendulam can swing back our way once, can't it?
The same kool-aid i've been drinking for 44 years. Yeah, I hate the way we are playing right now, but ISU has always been and always will be my team. Talk of firing the staff after a season and a half and leaving the conference is just ridiculous talk of fair-weather fans.
Whatever makes you sleep better after something like this: Texas A&M has (along with us) one of the worst D's in the conference.

I think you're way off base.
Firing the coaching staff now, especially Chizik will doom us. We will NEVER get a decent coach to come to Ames again. Maybe Chizik and crew aren't the right men for the job. I'm not arguing that. We can't press the eject button now on this though. We'll be shooting ourselves in the foot. Let it play out and then make a decision. As a previous poster said, "Get a grip."
