What else is there to say? Slapped around by the perennial Big 12 bottom dweller, and then you get absolutely smacked by the worst team in the Big 12 this year. This is bad. This. Is. Bad.
Our head coach MAY be a Big 12 head coach. The rest of the staff are not yet Big 12 caliber coaches, and personally, I don't think they ever will be. I see no improvement from last year to this year. In fact, I think the play calling and schemes have regressed.
Plus, you have to kind of wonder about the use of personnel don't you? Bates leaves because he was not played enough. I am not saying he was right to leave, but it seems it could have been handled better by the staff. Doesn't seem to me you let an athete like him get away. Where is J.J. Bass? They don't even try and use him when the running game is not working. Seemed like he showed some promise last year.
I hope ISU can turn it around, but I don't have a lot of faith in that any more. It seems to be going backwards.

Eh, if some of you want to jump ship go ahead. Was it ugly? Yeah, but I sat through 12 years of DM(who I liked btw) there were ups and downs. Almost 2 years into a rebuild, and Im not giving up. The steam has run out of the team...Take the summer and build it back up. Come back out with a clean slate and try again.
I know Bolt is well liked among the players, but his defense is just embarrassing. I still like McFarland, and I understand his reasons for being so conservative for the past few weeks. The defense is just horrible. Has been since the beginning of the year.
Glad to see AA have so many passing yards, but the defense again gave up about 80% completion to our opponent. Someone raised this previously about the past 3-5 games giving up 75%+ completion rate or something like that.
