Holy freaking cow. Glad I'm typing, because my yeller is broken.

What a BS call on the block there at the end.

I have to admit that I clapped for McD on the way in, but in the last minute, I was booing along with everyone else.

Great great shot by JVB. He redeemed himself for a rough night on the defensive end.

My heart could not have taken an overtime! I was worried I was going to have to paint in that free shirt they gave out.
 
Well, I hate to say it but i just watched the replay on the Iowa State Site. The ball was not out before time expired, the light behind the glass was lit before the ball was out. I am a huge state fan but I hate to win this way.

I cant believe he has taken these guys and made them this tough.


I actually love the fact that we won this way.

Nothing like getting that much more under the skin of opposing fanbases and their inept coaching staff.
 
Yeah, watching it live I didn't think he had gotten it off in time. I thought they still had in house video that they could review and figured for sure it would be overturned.....but hey, I'll take it.

No way we should've been tied at that point anyway. If SC makes even one of those three FT's that he bricked we wouldn't have been in that position.
 
By far the most excited I've been about a men's basketball game in like 3 years.

Glad the fun is back in this program. I'm still expecting plenty of hard times this season but there's reason for hope.

Jake Anderson is quietly ridiculously good. Ejim is living up to his hype. We've got studs chomping at the bit from the scout team. It's good to be a Cyclone basketball fan right now.

After the last 4 years of crap, I don't feel too bad about getting a good break on that last shot.

Agree with you, but I guess ISU men's basketball was due for a break. Who knows we may have beat them in overtime anyways.
 
Well, if it happened the other way, people would be saying "deal with it".

I do agree the shot did not go off before the buzzer. But at the same time... this is one of those situations that who knows if the clock was started at the right time to begin with...

Generally, it doesn't matter if the clock is started at the exact correct time because there is enough time for a player to see the clock and must adjust to get the shot off in time. But when there's 1.6 seconds... starting the clock at the correct time becomes a big deal.

That said... did he get off the shot in 1.6 seconds after he touched it... probably not, but it's possible.
 
Would have been a great game to watch on tv, but then again, I'm glad it wasn't since it ended the way it did.

Scotty has to make his free throws down the stretch! Could have put it out of reach.
 
look at what having good guards like a healthy Scotty and Anderson are doing for DG. DG really improved his game, but having those guys frees him up to reach his potential.
