I loved that. It helped me to turn off ESPN.

I loved how the Register's article about it discussed how it would affect the ACC balance of power between UNC and Duke. Barely even a mention of the local team. Nice reporting, geniuses.
 
It has to be I State. He has a love for the school and has to know that announcing to anywhere else in AMES hurts the fan base. I don't think he would make the announcement in ames if he wasn't pickin ISU.

This is the reason for my recent optimism. My problem is he said he wanted to win a championship, and out of the 6 schools, ISU is in the worst position to do that in the next 2-5 years.
 
I don't have a problem with Jake Sullivan and his involvement in this process.

Someone mentioned a possible recruitment strategy for Barnes from McD was the adviser role. Encouraging him to check out all available options to really see what is out there. And after evaluating all that he would see that ISU is a perfect fit. It's confidence, it class, and for a smart young man it can work.

Sullivan encouraging Harrison to look and test the waters plays into the plan.

I am confident in this approach and I think it pays off for us today.

I suggest you send similar back annointing ISU from the ISU Daily.

That would have been tough on the kid and Jake did not want him going through that. He advised Harrison to let the process play itself out. A verbal after your freshman year, or anytime for that matter does not bind.




You are very bitter towards a great young man. Jake gave more and gives more to ISU than you will ever think about.



McDermott's system is a harder sell to the ball hogs of the world, but winning sells itself in some ways and once the W's get rolling to system will fade into the background.

Hey Jake.... whats up? Still holding out for an assistant coaching position at Duke I see.
 
Not sure if anyone has known this already, but I just found out from Harrison's girlfriend's cousin that they have been broken up, im just not sure how long ago this happened. But, this could possibly be a sign of him going out of state:no:

I was putting zero weight on his girlfriend having any affect on where he is going.

She goes to Iowa....not ISU
