I wonder if Cincinnati is the eastern school the MWC was supposely having discussions with. Why would SMU, Houston and Tulsa go to the MWC and not back to the CUSA?

Im still waiting to see what ends up happening to the Pac 12 if they stay at 12 go to 14 or 16 and where they go to get those schools if they indeed expand

Ok everyone says the ACC will get picked apart frome the B1G and the SEC in their moves to 16. What does the Pac 12 do stay at 12? Will the Big 12 stay at 10 go to 12 or 16? i think that by the start of football next year were going to have our answers

I hear NDSU is available :twitcy:

1. C-USA was the lowest ranked conference this year according to the computers. Lower than the MAC, Sun Belt, WAC (going out of business this year), and even the Missouri Valley
2. C-USA has been gutted of all its TV markets, so there is no TV revenue to be had
3. C-USA is welcoming Old Dominion, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, UT-San Antonio, Charlotte, and Middle Tennessee State for football.
4. The MWC just got part of their TV deal restructured with their tier 2/3 TV rights up for bid since the MTN network folded...much more TV money to be had in a minor league to the west rather than east.

So better better football and more money, MWC is a clearly better option than C-USA which has become the new Sun Belt.

Oh I don't doubt it was a better conference I just wondered why they would choose to go back to the MWC having left that conference one other time but it makes sense based on the $

The biggest rule in conference realignment is to follow the $$$...if it leads you to an old conference, then that's where you go. Doesn't matter if it makes sense or not, you just go for the money.

OH yeah that true. BTW anyone know where La Tech is going next year?

If it would be FSU and Miami to get to 12 then im not sure where the B12 would go to get to 16 if infact that is where they wanted to go

Tell you what if The B1G went with UVA and GT and the SEC with NCST and VT if I was the B12 Id go and try and get FSU, Miami, Duke, UNC as 4 on my way to 16

As I've always said the Big XII should offer a package deal to six of these ACC schools - Miami, FSU, GT, Clemson, UL, NCS or VT. UVA, UNC & Duke would never consider the Big XII. I think many of the ACC schools would go if they could keep many of their old conf mates with them.

Why has all the talk shifted from Clemson to Miami? Unless we're talking academics, Clemson is a waaaaaaaay better get than Miami.

Because Clemson has zero interest and Miami has no other choices. Also, FOX supposedly told the Big 12 brass that they will pay $$$$ for FSU/Miami, but not FSU/Clemson.

Clemson's options outside of the ACC are limited to the B12. Clemson may be showing no or limited interest now but if UVa/GT/UNC/Duke bolt, they will be actively trying to get in the B12.

Kind of weird about Miami, they draw poorly for their home games but they evidently still have alot of TV appeal. I would rather see Clemson and their 80K of home attendence in the B12.
