***Official 2023 Weather Thread***

There is a dry slot in the radar today from Pocahontas to Britt.
Sure would be nice if the rain that was coming would have got here.
It is May 30th and my lawn is turning brown.

Channel 5 just reported 3.80 just North of downtown. Flashflood warning until 9:45.
It’s been thundering and getting dark/cloudy for at least an hour in Ames. Was outside when a cold front blew through. No rain and KCCI future radar in the app indicates the Ames bubble will again do its thing. Even when it shouldn’t.

How many inches?

So typical......Another big water bill coming and just in time for the water increase coming in July.

It looks real dark in West Des Moines, but I don't think it's going to rain. I just watered my flowers for the day.

You can blame me. When it got to Ogden I went out and put down milorganite that has been in my garage for 2 weeks waiting for a rain chance. Almost had enough to wet the sidewalk.

Same here

A week ago I was thinking about my next round of weed and feed or whatever...then I walked around my lawn this past weekend and it is dormant! Grass feels like it does in late July have a month of heat and no precipitation! Not going to waste any money on feeding it when it is already this dry! 90+ degrees today and we are still in May. Fastest spring ever!
