Friends had their insurance adjuster at their house in NW Ames today. New roof and 80% of their house needs new siding. This was from the hailstorm that went through on Friday.

If 80% needs new siding, 100% needs new siding

Don't give up. There's a train of thunderstorms lined up from Des Moines to KC and it looks like they'll be moving through central Iowa from now to around 11pm.

Isn’t that the cold front just moving through? I doubt that it’s just going to go in a straight line from KC to DSM.

In Urbandale it just finished. Had some really nice rain with all this tonight. Looks like the next 5-7 days are going to be beautiful outside of maybe a little cool and windy tomorrow.

I’m seeing a lot of low 80s next week. Beats the heck out of last years very cold and windy April.

On April 3rd into the night of the 4th in 1974 was the "Super Outbreak" in the Ohio Valley with 148 tornado's which killed over 300 people. Thankfully neither Friday's episode or tonight were anywhere near as bad as that mess.

Some time in the next two weeks suddenly the outside will look like a completely different world for green grass, flowers, etc.

Then it will be pretty nice for three weeks and then just really Fing hot for 3 months.

Last week there was concern over a pattern lasting a couple weeks into April with a lot of severe weather. Apparently that's over after just four days? No complaints but I wonder what changed.
