Haven't heard much on this guy. His style is probably more similar to Milan, Omaha and King, rather than the style we probably need more like Jones and Ward, but he'd certainly improve the offense.
No idea on defense. From what I saw, not really a bruiser. He looked very creative around the hoop, and could handle the ball pretty well. Just a very good scorer, 63% fg, albeit on an absolutely horrible team. Also fwiw, he only scored 10 total points in 2 games against Montana St, the Big Sky team in the Ncaa tournament.
I'm just going to throw out a guess that we go with a versatile 1-3 guy with some size. That's basically what we lost here.
I think TJ recruited knowing Williams was going to be limited. That's why he brought in 3 guards. If some want to call that forcing a guy out so be it. Now that Williams is gone a center to pair with Rock in the future makes so much more sense. Plus we have Pierce and Indrusaitis coming in 2024 with nobody graduating in the backcourt. If we add a guy this year it will be a center.
I wasn't aware of the cut off date to transfer, does it mean they would have to sit out a season if they try transferring after the date?
Anyone can transfer at any time. If they don’t enter the portal before the deadline, they would either have to get a waiver to be immediately eligible or sit a year.
