no more than any other country. people arent responsible for the govt they've been born into. we are all humans.
If you are operating under the assumption England is the favorite to win the group, then you should be cheering for them to take 3 points off of both Iran and Wales.

Agreed. This should be the biggest celebration of your career. But now this event must feel unimportant and I'm sure they are terrified about what is happening to their families.
Feel sick for those Iranian players. It's great to take a stand on a big stage like this. But I can't imagine what's on their mind right now.
Yeah who knows, but the tackle at the beginning of the match was 10x the penalty that was. I think refs are just so hesitant to give a penalty early but not as hesitant to do it later.
I'm operating under the assumption we will take 9 points from the group. Only thing that will change my mind are results that go another way.

That said, they looked good but Iran's keeper having to leave what, 20ish minutes in, certainly played a role.
We win all 3 and take 9 points. Wales beats England and Iran to take 2nd. Done.
Watching the meltdown in England if they didn’t make it out of the group at the hands of us and Wales would be priceless.

I would love that, but as much as I hate to say it England looks really really good and have for quite some time now. We need to sit on the counter against them but I bet we won’t.
