***Official 2021 Vikings***

I know it was one game.. But Darrisaw needs to start every healthy down for the remainder of the season...

Looking forward.. If this offense can settle the LT position.. We are really only 1 piece away from being ELITE. Upgrading from Bradbury is the #1 priority and a new offensive minded coach would be GREAT! I hope the Wilfs are already courting Brian Daboll (Bills o-cordinator). He's young, on offense and is a Belichick disciple. Sign me up

The defense way lose Hunter this offseason, which means a complete rebuild around Smith and Kendrick's. Someone with fresh eyes and plays a modern defense would be awesome. Bring on the 3-4
why will Hunter be gone? He is signed to a new deal.

Vikings have 3 options on Hunter's new contract (1+1 contract)

1) Let him become a FA after this year
2) Take a $26M cap hit for 2022 and keep him for another year. $19M roster bonus is due on the first week of the new league year
3) Extend him long term. Likely making him one of the highest paid defensive players in the league. I vote for this as finding a 26 year old phenom at rush end is very hard, unless you draft in the top 5. Which we aren't for 2022

Figured I'd ask on the Vikings thread as I'm guessing that many have been to US Bank Stadium- I am looking to take my family to their first NFL game later this year (I have been to a few). We are fans of the Chicago Bears and as much fun as siting outside in January in Chicago sounds to me, probably wouldn't be for the kids and wife.

As of now we are looking into staying in the Mall of America area- would it be easier to drive downtown and park a vehicle or easier to get on the light rail at the MOA and ride up to the stadium that way? Is the light rail safe for a family to travel on? Do people get testy of those people wearing team colors that aren't purple and gold? We are looking to get tickets soon and am trying to figure if I should also get a parking pass for a vehicle too.

TIA

I used to use the light rail all the time because it's super easy to park at the mall and hop on the train. However, after the game, it can take forever to get back on the train to head back to your car.

I think you should be fine wearing your Bears gear. You might hear some boos but you'd be safe on the train.

For the past 5+ years, I've just parked somewhere downtown that's not too close to the stadium so that I can get out quicker. That works if you're willing to walk half a mile or so. Parking can be really cheap.

Hopefully this helps a bit. The stadium is amazing. Have a good time.

You'll be fine taking your family on the light rail.

The only fans you probably need to keep an eye on are those wearing black with yellow turkey logos.

You should be fine wearing Bears stuff at a Vikings game. You may receive a little heckling but it should be pretty mild, especially with kids. Wearing Packers stuff may may be different.

To be honest, when I've been to Bears-Vikings games, the Bears fans have usually been way worse. They have a tendency to throw drinks and to cuss at Vikings fans.

I've ridden the light rail once for a Twins game with my wife and young daughter. The only out-of-the-ordinary thing was we had to listen to a street preacher trying to save everyone on the ride back to MOA.

The same thing happened when I rode the subway in NYC.

If it happens a third time, I may need to take the hint and seriously re-evaluate some of my life choices.

Well if you a cyclone twins and Viking fan you’re clearly full of humility. You’re good. ;)
