11 point lead with under 5 left and they **** it up. Classic. Chance to win with a field go? Wasn’t even close. They may win in overtime but is there even a point?
My question is how do you give up a 40 yard pass over the top of the defense on 4th and 10 from the panthers 4 yard line?!
If they lose in OT, the Vikes get a better draft pick and are one step closer to the end of the Zimmer era.
It’s just as, if not more, important for Spielman to go.
Cousins has been really good this season.
On the bright side - that's a good defense and the Vikings absolutely lit them up.
Defense was shaky against an offense that isn't very good, and kept some drives alive with defensive holding and PI. With all the money and picks spent on corners, it's pretty sad that a corner signed this year that's years past his prime going down is going to be a huge problem. Dantzler and Breeland are not good.

Breeland played well yesterday. His PFF grade was over 90. Here's hoping that he can be more consistent, because he has definitely struggled at times
And speaking of playing well, how about Christian Darrisaw getting his first start? He showed out pretty well. Didn't give up a sack. The whole o-line looked good yesterday. Udoh had some penalties, but on the whole it was a good performance

Cousins has led some kind of game-saving drive practically every game this season. Two of them yesterday, since the D/ST continued to f*** them up for him.

Yeah, it's hard to blame Cousins for the record right now. I get that he rubs some people the wrong way, and you don't have to like his contract, but you have to admit he's playing well right now.
He's clearly the team's MVP and it isn't close.
OL is finally coming around, and Darrisaw looks to be worth the wait. And you are right about Breeland yesterday was a much better game. He had a bad penalty to extend a drive, but maybe he's finally coming around.

What’s frustrating and yet makes so much sense as a Viking fan is that we get good (if not great, as much as it could be hard to admit it) QB play but then the other holes on the team cost us games and leads to another season of what if’s.
The real reason they're losing is still by far and away their extremely-expensive defense not being nearly worth the money, with the OL being the next largest overall cause. It's not any of QB, RB, WR losing them games.
Now I do have gripes with the offense not cashing in TDs that often in the red zone, but I think that's a playcalling issue, not a talent one. I feel bad for Joseph too, getting thrown out there expected to win every game at the buzzer 'cuz the rest of team can't get it done themselves.
I was thinking the Vikes 'might' actually be finding their groove. But not sure. Only one game (Seattle) they actually looked good all game. The last two weeks they eeked out wins against bad and 'ok' competition. That being said, they're 3-3 and close to being 5-1 (but also close to being 1-5). Then I looked at their upcoming schedule....make or break for the season over the next five games:

I’m sure they will win a couple and make you think they are ok, and could make the playoffs. Don’t fall for it!!!!
