So the Butler Miami deal is still not done? Dallas is totally out as the third team or maybe not, Dragic is still on the Heat for now, but needs to be moved. There was so much that happened last night, that it's been almost impossible to keep up on all of it. I don't think there's ever been a start of free agency that was just a free for all like that, usually it's a slow build until the big names have decided and then pieces start flying.

I think it will slow down now until Kawhi makes his decision then it will go crazy again.

Rondo isn't a good enough shooter. I was thinking more along the Seth Curry type bridge, if they went that route. I could see them trading DLo next summer to make room for Draymond.

Are they just bringing him on to keep them in playoff contention until Klay? I don't understand the move. Plus if this is known why would he want to go play there?

They are capped out. If they don't do a sign and trade for Durant, he leaves and they can't replace him, they still have no cap room available. This way they get a real asset that they can flip for other players. They weren't getting much back moving a 35 year old Iguodola on an expiring deal.

I don't fully understand why the Nets are doing this though, unless Durant wanted to help out the Warriors a little as part of his signing with Brooklyn.

So I guess my T-Wolves will just continue to suck forever. Maybe it's just time to get a new favorite team huh?

How long before they are allowed to trade him again? Is it mid-December or so?

Let's say Kawhi goes to the Clippers, and the Lakers get desperate. Russell to the T'wolves, Covington to the Warriors to fill Iggy's spot, and Wiggins and a pick to the Lakers

Wiggins comes full circle back to LeBron. I like it. Or maybe I just like it because I want the Wolves to get rid of him in any way possible.

Lakers won't be able to take on Wiggins' salary, they'll have to be able to fill out the roster even if they don't get Kawhi. I thought initially when it was reported that Russell was being included in the sign and trade that GSW was going to be taking back Wiggins with Russell moving to the T'Wolves. But keeping Russell for themselves is a much better option.

Jazz have been having a good offseason.

This is also great news for Niang. Tony Jones, who writes for the Jazz on the Athletic, has stated that the Jazz love Niang (see him as similar to Boris Diaw with the Spurs) but the deal they made for Conley had put Niang or Raul Neto at risk of having to be cut by July 6th. Trading Favors, then siging Bojan for less than $18M, and Davis at the vet minimum allows them to keep everyone under contract.

Then, Davis is expected to only be a backup 5 to Gobert with no time at the 4. The Jazz will play some with Ingles, Bojan, or even Royce O'Neale at the 4 (and will close with one of them there) but now Niang's spot on the roster is safe and they have no prototypical 4's. I expect Niang will get a chance to carve out 10-15 minutes consistently in the regular season and could possibly even see some spot starts so that Ingles can run the 2nd unit as the 6th man. It's funny, the NBA has shifted to where Niang has a pretty good build for the stretch 4 where when he was recruited he was thought of as a non-fit in the (then) NBA.

Absolutely no one is taking on Wiggins and his awful contract. The Wolves are stuck there.

Whether or not the Lakers get Kawhi, I'm really interested in how they fill out the rest of their roster because there is not going to be much left by the time he makes a decision.
Veterans on minimum contracts looking to grab a ring or stay in the league plus their mid-level exception on someone like Danny Green.
