***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

Prohm's teams at Murray barely had any 3-pt shooting from the 4 and 5 positions. I think he can work with that.

He is telling recruits that they will continue with 4 out, 1 in spread offense based on recent comments from a recruit that I've read.

Morrow was part of the NU's offensive issues this past season as he only had 8 assists. Add to that his zero 3 pt attempts and you have a bad fit as a 4 in Prohm's ideal offense. Juiston also isn't a 3 pt shooter at this point but he has shown a far greater ability to share the ball and be a playmaker at Hutch.

6-5 guard. 9.9 ppg 4.6rpg 2.7 apg. Sit 1 play 3.

Had some good games vs NCAA tournament teams
  • 19 points / 3 rebounds / 2 assists vs Xavier
  • 12/7/5 vs Arizona
  • 17/3/2 vs USC
  • 15/5/4 vs UCLA
  • 11/4/5 vs Oregon
Him and Coach Nate Schmidt just followed each other on twitter.

Quick google search shows he got suspended 4 games for conduct detrimental to the team. Great numbers for a freshman and great size for a guard though.

From Michigan. Could be a Monte connection

Jojo Zamora is also transferring from Utah. 6'2 G who averaged 6.9 ppg, 1.4 rpg & 1.1 apg in his junior year. Went to Yuba w/Malou as well FWIW.

Didn't there used to be a 8/5 rule, meaning you could only bring in 8 kids over a 2 year span and 5 in any given year? Since I think this was a rule and it is no longer in place, does anyone think this is leading to more transfers? Rice would be in trouble getting a whole team on the floor and definately practicing if this still existed. I wouldn't think there would be a D1 spot for all these transfers and incoming freshmen.
Yes this existed prior to the APR. It was supposed to keep teams from pushing out players that were recruited over. It was a huge mess and didn't make sense in the business world that is the NCAA. This was especially true when players could transfer and leave early for the draft. I do wonder if the 4 year mandatory scholarship will have an effect down the road. It's far to early in the cycle for those changes to be visible.

Was Rice any good last year? I mean why would these teams want these players if they are not that good. Kids can have good numbers on a crappy team. Basically somebody has to score and somebody has to rebound. Does not make them good
YEah they were good, their coach just left for VCU so that may play into them leaving.

Is he a grad transfer? I heard from Rutger fans they were happy to see him go. Addition by subtraction they claimed. If he is a guard i would pass. I would rather go after a post player.
Grad transfer guard. I think we have room for any good player. That may not be Johnson, but I like his game.

Pitts leading scorer, Cameron Johnson, 6'8 guard/forward transferring. ( unless someone posted an April Fool's joke). Scorched Syracuse zone on 6 of 8 three's. Wow. Let me guess, he's got a deal to return to play for Dixon again. Hope not.

Not an April Fool's joke

6-8 210lb wing.

11.9 ppg 4.5 rpg 2.3 apg shot 41% from 3. Will graduate in May and have 2 years eligibility left.

Damn he checks some boxes:
Height/length
Athletic
Scoring wing
++ Three point shot
Power 5 tested
2 years of immediate eligibility

Not sure we'll see Iowa St involved, but someone is getting a pretty good one here.

A freshman sit out transfer would be really good.

I'd love a kid like this, the only concern would be that it wouldn't help out the unbalanced schollie situation. You'd have 5 kids in that class, if the transfer was guard and you'd be telling one of either the transfer, Wigginton, Lewis or McNeil that they will likely never start a game here.

Which kid?

The "unbalanced schollie" thing is from a quainter time.
