***Official 2016 Transfer Thread***

So I assume we'll hear pretty soon if any current Cyclones are planning to transfer, right? Figure guys probably know by now and I don't see much advantage for them from waiting.

Usually takes a bit for paperwork. Other schools had a jump on us of a week or so with ncaa.

I would say over half of the fanatics are not old enough to remember, Kelvin Cato!
I don't know... I'm 22 and Cato/Willoughby are my very earliest Cyclone memories and I'd be one of the younger posters on here I would think. I can remember going to SWCC in Creston during the summer of '97 (I would guess) when the team would do these scrimmages across the state. I was so excited to see Cato but I was young enough that I didn't understand that players graduate, go pro, etc. Cato wasn't there and I was one disappointed 4 year old. Paul Shirley was a nice guy though.

Impressive memory. I'm 30 and Cato/Willoughby are the first Cyclones I truly remember seeing/following. I would have been 5 - 9 when Hoiberg played at Iowa State and only remember seeing him in the NBA and know of his college days from my dad and others. I don't think I remember anything from when I was 3 other than hearing stories from others.

I'm 27 and those Floyd teams were my first memories. Willoughby and Cato were rock stars in my mind. I remember being pretty devastated about Cato not attending the event at SWCC too. I remember Kenny Pratt doing a solid Tim Floyd impression though.

I don't remember any actual games from that year. Memories of Iowa State actually playing would've been more towards Fizer, Tinsley but that's still vague. Going to see them at SWCC would be the very first memory of Cyclone basketball. All I know is that I liked Cato a lot and wanted to see him but was pretty disappointed when he wasn't there.

Arkansas State transfer Anthony Livingston has received interest from BC, NC State, St. John's, Memphis, & Iowa St, source told @CBSSports.

I'm 29 and I got started young. Hoiberg and his senior class played a game I think it was a senior tour or something at ICCC. Got a shirt signed by all of them and I have been a cyclone fan ever since

I am 38 and my first team I really remember was the Thompkins, Grayer, Hornacek, Rhodes, Urquart, Elmer Robinson, Sam Hill I think that was the 85-86' sweet 16 team. My kids will remember Royce as there first and they were born in 06' and 08'.

First ISU plauers I remember were Jacy Holloway, Dedrick Willoughby. Not sure what came first or the year. Born in Dec 1988

You youngsters are so lucky. I grew up in North Central Iowa and my earliest basketball memories are from the late 70's early 80's. The only team on TV was the Hawks so my Cyclone memories are of Ron Falenchek and Robert Estes getting beat by Iowa. Needless to say I did not see the light and convert to a Cyclone fan until that glorious night when Lafester put up 54 on the Hawks. I got accepted to ISU later that winter and I have been a die hard Clone ever since.
