-per Niang players think he is coming back, but regardless if he does they will.

-No team has requested to talk with Thibs.
-Bulls have yet to formally communicate with Fred about vacancy.

For ISU, it is worse. Our 2016-17 team would be in complete rebuild mode. It would be difficult to attract a coach. Even if Fred was able to bring in recruits, they would probably leave once Fred announced he was leaving.

If he leaves now, we have a team that is expected to stay together (most out of options) and be a Top 10 team. That is more attractive to a coach. (Even if it is late in the game.)

Even though you've gone full schizo, I'll give my 2 cents on this whole thing IF Fred would come back. We're screwed in 2016 if he comes back. I feel like a couple things need to happen if he comes back.

1. Fred publicly commits to ISU for the foreseeable future. (Yeah I know, not going to happen)
2. If we decide to go the Otz route, just go ahead and announce that Otz is the eventual successor while Fred is the coach, so that we can continue recruiting and there would be a smooth transition once Fred does decide to leave.

But if Pollard is thinking someone other than Otz as the next coach, we're completely ****ed in 2016 IF Fred comes back. He's not coming back, so all of this is moot.
