JSB has been saying Fred is leaving for more than a month now, sounds like Fred decided well before last week.
Well CyTwins, if its happening today, where is Thibs going? That has to happen before Chicago can hire Fred. Im sure your sources have informed you since they seem to know all.
No, I was just curious as to the significance of the IP address. Why was it being brought up in this thread, that's all.
If you asked the media if the staff or JP knows Fred's decision right now you think they're going to say yes? Even Jeremy said last night the staff didn't know. You think they just found out this morning?
You have sources better than Jeremy? He said explicitly that 2/3 of the original rumor was wrong. I'm skeptical his deal with Chicago was essentially wrapped up last week but thats possible.
Like all rumors there was probably a nugget of truth, Fred & Chicago in talks, Jamie and staff preparing for a coaching search, etc. People in the AD heard bit and pieces, filled in a ton of gaps, and then leaked it like crazy. A lot of people heard the same thing Dandy did.
Not hating on anyone, I come here for those rumors, just the most likely scenario to me.

I have been having the same thoughts. Was Fred really going to walk, was Jamie nieve? If the biggest threat was him going to the NBA, ISU should be compensated for that. The fact the buyout is only $500k makes no sense.

ISU was in no position to call the shots with Hoiberg. So JP should have inserted a 2 million NBA buyout clause? And what if Fred has said "I am not signing that"?
These contracts are negotiations. Maybe Fred doesn't sign contract with a $2 mil NBA buyout?
Bulls want a commitment from Fred before dumping Thibbs, from what I have seen. ...I know nothing.
Absolutely not. I don't believe I am wrong on this one though. If anyone thinks that JP and staff don't know Fred's plan for sure I think they are misinformed
