Iowa killing NW. Anybody still think Iowa needs to beat MSU tomorrow?

Yes. They need to at least beat MSU to even be considered.

Yeah, NW is an assumed win. Doesn't do anything for you. MSU puts them in the conversation.

And even with that they might need either a good showing in the next round or some help from other bubble teams losing and tournament favorites winning. There is still a lot of movement possible on the bubble, but beating Northwestern certainly isn't enough as it stands now.

If Iowa beats MSU, they will officially be on the bubble. They will probably need to win even 1 more, or hope for a lot of help from other teams.

Yes. Iowa needs to win 3 to get in. It can happen but it's not likely.

So you think beating NW and MSU would make Iowa a lock for the tourney? In my opinion two wins puts them close and MAYBE in. 3 wins gets them in for sure.

2 wins would put them squarely on the bubble. Leaning towards in if they win tomorrow. But still sweating it out, and if they get in they are in a play-in game.

Watching Northwestern play basketball is like watching a fish trying to survive out of water. It's alive, kind of flopping around and trying so damn hard to breathe, but its just so damn ugly and its getting closer to death with every single flap of the gills and soon it will just suffocate, dry up and shrivel into a rotting, stinking death. Only to be flushed down the toilet where all your poop and pee go.
I mean, they used all their timeouts only 1 minute into the second half!! And to top it off they wear purple!

LA Tech down 13 to UTSA, who is 9-21. Loss eliminates LA Tech.

Cal in a tight one with Utah, a loss would likely have ISU pass them in seeding.

bottom of Iowa game. OU is a lock too as Final42b said. Baylor knocked out with a loss from an article by Lunardi the other day.

Lunardi said that if ISU would have lost that ISU would have been on the bubble. Guess ISU was somewhat safe before the game, now moved into lock territory.

Much better this year than last. Second round game will be tough either way, but winnable. Teams 1-8 are almost interchangeable.
