I am psyched for this opportunity. Everyone who is a fan should be, so get over the loss Saturday! I am tired of the Negative Nancy's on some of these threads that seem to have given up on this teams potential. That being said, we definitely have to step up tonight to get a 'W.'

I am not worried about our 'Big 3' coming out ready for the challenge. I am worried about the rest of the crew; most notably Nader. He seems to limit himself by either playing with his head down and forcing things or playing passively and easy to guard. He is so talented and could be our equalizer. I really hope he starts getting into the flow of the game consistently and sharing the ball when he sucks in the defense. Teams will not be able to contain him as our fourth option when he is on his game.

Finally, can we hit some open threes and free throws?! We have too may good shooters to keep throwing up bricks. I say all of this assuming our ball screen defense will be exponentially better than the UNI game. It is not worth talking about anymore unless it continues to happen.

I like the positivity of the team during media day yesterday. The Saturday game was disappionting in the result but it wasn't due to bad play from ISU as much as excellent execution by the Purple Panthers to their credit. There are always a few games per year where a team gets up for an opponent and shoots lights out and it happened. Moving on to tonight.

I think this team will be focused for this tip, especially due to the quick turnaround. The BearCats phyiscal tough team but struggles to score. Just execute ISU's offensive game plan, hit 75 pts, and stay out of foul trouble and I see a good performance upcoming.

Go State!!! Beat the Cincy kitties!!!
 
Just what I need. Last day of work until the new year.

Ready to sit down at the bar, eat some good food, drink some good beer, and watch the Clones get a W on the road.

I have a better feeling about this game than I did about the UNI game. I think we bounce back and win a close one.

I'm not betting against these guys. So much talent, we are going to see it for 40 minutes on the court sometime soon. Maybe tonight is the night?
 
I assume their students aren't on campus which benefits us. I have felt good about this game and horrible. I can see us coming out flat and getting beaten pretty soundly but I also can see us winning a tight game. As I type this I'm not feeling confident: Cincy 77 Iowa State 68. That will change by tip off.
 
I always feel a little bit better about games when Fran is announcing. GO CYCLONES!!! Game watch at Denver International Airport???
 
The score is 0-0 right now I feel like there should be more melting down happening about our inept offense and inability to defend the 3 at this point.
 
I have not been able to see Cincy play this year but they seem to be built on toughness and athleticism. Not great shooters. I think that if we can play without getting in foul trouble then we will be able to outscore them. If they get the typical home team refs (which everyone gets except ISU) and the guys get in foul trouble then it could be a long game.

Putting up way too many 3s in warmups. I would prefer to see Mikan drills and defensive slides.
 
Need a big win tonight. Should be interesting to see how we respond with the players and coach. Maybe a good thing to finally have the Fred cloud drift away a bit.

With our terrible depth we should not be warming up at all. Fire Prohm for this and send Fred a letter retroactively firing him for not playing Edozie more.
