Terrible refereeing on both ends to start. It is funny how it frustrates me now.
I think this will tell us if we are ready for the Big 12. I think the Big 12 regular season will decide whether we are a Top 10 team. One game is one game.
Big game - road win vs a top 25 team out of conference would be great.
That said, I am predicting a 4-6 point loss, hopefully I am wrong.

My thoughts exactly. This game will be a good marker for how ready we are and how much work is left to do. This game and Coppin State could be instrumental in making the adjustment from the Long lineup to the Burton lineup.
Have to keep Clark and Ellis off the offensive glass. If we can limit their second chance points, hold them to say, 8 or fewer offensive rebounds, we win the game.
I am psyched for this opportunity. Everyone who is a fan should be, so get over the loss Saturday! I am tired of the Negative Nancy's on some of these threads that seem to have given up on this teams potential. That being said, we definitely have to step up tonight to get a 'W.'
I am not worried about our 'Big 3' coming out ready for the challenge. I am worried about the rest of the crew; most notably Nader. He seems to limit himself by either playing with his head down and forcing things or playing passively and easy to guard. He is so talented and could be our equalizer. I really hope he starts getting into the flow of the game consistently and sharing the ball when he sucks in the defense. Teams will not be able to contain him as our fourth option when he is on his game.
Finally, can we hit some open threes and free throws?! We have too may good shooters to keep throwing up bricks. I say all of this assuming our ball screen defense will be exponentially better than the UNI game. It is not worth talking about anymore unless it continues to happen.

Will be driving home to Des Moines from Dallas this afternoon for Christmas. First game in I don't know how long that I won't be able to watch. Really hoping I'll be able to find a way to listen to it on the Cyclones app or iHeart Radio. Iowa State comes out hungry and makes a statement win on the road- team plays better with a chip on their shoulder.
