I'm 100% convinced he could get more wins out of this team through motivational ability alone than McDermott can.
Drake would beat us at the end of a game at this point. We just have no play that we can run and score on.

Today yes. His consistency this season has been second best at worst. That's not a good thing but it is a true thing.
Here is a scenerio. Let's say CB and MG leave which I am convinced will not happen. Will DG then be allowed to try and create more for himself and be looked upon to score. I will tell you one thing, late in the game today I wanted the ball in his hands, not Craigs. He was a black hole today.
Can we pay CPR money to give the halftime speeches like a Lou Holtz?
CPR won 7 out of 13 while McD has won 13 out of 27 with more talent.

I completely forgot that ISU had a basketball game today until I was flipping channels and came across it. But even once I realized it was on, I only flipped to it during commercial breaks for the Olympics. Yes, I would now rather watch cross-country skiing than ISU basketball. McDermott has completely sapped all enthusiasm out of the fanbase.
where is there anyone on this team that wants and knows how to win a game when it is on the line? I have never seen such an incredible bunch of chokers. Other teams seem to have a plan, a go to guy, something that gives theme a good chance to win at the end. ISU has off balance air balls.
I'm not seeing how we will be any better next year especially if we lose Brackins and Gilstrap. That will be 5 years for McDermott and nothing to show. Unfortunately, I don't think he can get it done.
Every game is looking the same to me. Play relatively close in the first half. Adjustments are made by the other team, and they start to pull away. We make a run to make it look close late in the game. And then can't make the big shot to finish.
That last 10 seconds pretty much summed up the season. Down by 4 with 10 seconds to go, Craig drives and loses it, Hamilton grabs it and throws up an airball, Gilstrap rebounds, runs out to the 3 point line and misses, game over. We get no real good looks at the basket, when we absolutely need a quick shot...

He may just turn out to be a filler coach till we get a coach. 0-21 is not acceptable. 5 games are left.
Actually, with the "trajectory" GM has put the program on under his watch I think we better set the bar at 12th place in conference if we don't want to set expectations too high lest they be dashed.
