***Offical NBA Regular Season Thread***

Also, do you have a source? Because the most recent I have from twitter is still teams/agents denying that it is finalized. I think the trade will happen, I just can't find a reliable source right now.

ESPNLA710 reported it. Said it will be done on Sunday

Bynum for Gasol trade is done. Good trade for the Lakers. Gets rid of Pau and saves money on the cap by waiving Bynum. Guessing the Heat will realize Oden isn't gonna contribute and go after Bynum

trade gasol waive Bynum so left at center for LA is kaman and Sacre LOL

cbs reported Deng for Bynum and picks. Don't understand it Cavs.

Bulls get Sacramento's first round pick and 2 2nd round picks, so likely a lottery pick(top 10-12 protected) for a half year rental of Deng? Cavaliers are stupid as ****.

cbs reported Deng for Bynum and picks. Don't understand it for either team. Bulls gonna waive Bynum and tank. Cavs likely get one year of Deng and make a push at a 5 seed.

2 2ns rounders plus a heavily protected kings first rounder. The Bulls likely won't see that 1st for awhile.

Bulls dump salary, Cavs get chance to resign a very good SF (their weakest position) for a team cancer that didn't work out for whatever reason.

Kings pick will either be not very good or in 3 years. Cavs have PLENTY of picks. Sounds like you're the dumb ***.

Really good trade for the Bulls, imo. Not going anywhere this year anyway. Always nice to take advantage of a desperate team.

Downright stupid for the Cavs to give up a first-rounder so they can get the 7 seed, lose in the first round, and not get some lottery balls.

yeah and the Bulls can swap late picks in 2015. I don't see Deng staying in Cleveland. Think he'll go to Lakers if they don't get Melo.

He would lose bird rights. Money talks. Plus Cleveland has a very talented young roster while the Lakers roster is horrible.

You assume Deng is gonna want to stay in Cleveland. Just because it's not a lottery pick doesn't mean it's not good. It doesn't matter if the Cavs have 20 picks it's stupid to get rid of them for a guy you have for half a year to see at best a second round exit. Let's be real, they aren't gonna beat either Miami or Pacers.

Sure a team will give Deng major money but his constant ability to be injury prone outweighs his talent.

The Lakers have a crap load of money for next year. Plus LA > Cleveland. I'd rather have the Lakers situation then the Cavs if I was playing. Cavs are a franchise that will be mediocre but never great (2nd tier team in the east)

The rebuild in Cleveland is no longer stockpiling draft picks. They have young talent everywhere and oodles of picks. I think only Boston had more. You can only have so many first 3 year players. And 2nd round picks are very expendable. Cavs are looking to build, make the playoffs, and go from there. No reason Deng won't re sign. That pick won't come to anyone for at least two years. What did the Bulls get out of it when that happens that was so outrageous?

It's a win win for two franchises in different places.

Cavs have to keep Kyrie Irving happy as well and adding a muliple time all star at SF is a great way to do that. And playing with a guy like Irving is very attractive for a scorer.

debatable. Irving is the only one that is a game changer. Thompson and Waiters are good starters but not guys you can have being a 2nd or 3rd option winning titles. Doesn't matter a ton if you waste picks on players like Anthony Bennett. The opportunity to switch picks in 2015 was the best pick the Bulls got. If the Cavs become a team where they get to be a 5-6 seed repeatedly they won't get great picks to help build around Irving.

It seems the Cavs are in between "Hey, let's tank and build around Irving" and "Hey, let's make the playoffs and see what we can do".

They are apparently amnesty Boozer and Bynum is 90% gone. What team will take him? I can see the Heat but that's it honestly.
