offensive line help

Thing is, he's getting his agenda from Campbell. He doesn't perform in a vacuum. That's what's really concerning. Why has it gotten this far?
The structure is changing. Meyers played under Manning, and tutored under Manning, then coached under Manning. They are both gone. Nate is getting more say in the offense, like Heacock does in the defense.

After listening to Bruns pod and his scheme frustrations, I'm not sure it's talent. We definitely got some hogs that other good teams wanted. Outside of the list below, took 2 JUCO's last year and have a bunch of lightly recruited Iowa boys as well.

Maro: 36 offers, 17 P5 - TCU, KSU, OSU, Oregon, Utah

Pauls: 8 offers, 8 P5 - KSU, Purdue, Iowa, OSU, MN, Nebby, KU

Deyo: 7 offers, 7 P5 - Oregon, KSU, Iowa, MN, WI, AR

Miller: 8 offers, 7 P5 - Purdue, Cinci, MN, Nebby, UVA

Rengert: 10 offers, 6 P5 - Cinci, Purdue, WVU, UVA, Rutgers

Hasert: 5 offers, 5 P5 - KSU, Iowa, MN, Nebby
We’ve got talent I think just need a coach to make them A cohesive unit!

Think there is too much competition for those worthy of adding in the portal. Unless we had a previous recruiting connection, I'm not thinking any come to mind so far. One would think we could have a better chance of a JuCo OL recruit or 2 rather than one from the portal.

Or some lower level, under the radar, diamond.

We got 2 juco OLs last year and neither of them played on a bad OL.

Exactly. James Neal and Oluwafunto Akinshilo are 2 big boys on top of the list above. We should have the guys to compete, we just haven't so far. Coaching has to be at least part of the problem.

I think the talent is there....or here. At least for 5 starters , ....what has been lacking is the development of these guys into BIG12 OL.
This is why the OL coach hire is so important....sure that CMC knows that.

Oh I think it’s a big part. Seemed like they were confused who to block a lot. That’s on the staff.
Yes and no. You can just call a straight block, block the man in front of you but you gotta want it. They didn't really push anyone around but Iowa which is crazy.

I think the first three games, they pushed people around some. But it all changed in that Baylor game. Once Brock got hurt, the offense was pretty much going through the motions the rest of the season.

Baylor's line bullied them bad. Then K-State lost their two best DEs and still worked us pretty good. Might have been their spirits getting broken on top of the Brock injury?

Yeah, you're right now that I remember that Baylor game. But we moved the ball pretty well on them anyway.

They always say it takes a juco (usually) a full year to be on campus to really compete in year 2. It took until year two for even Atyba Rubin to be ready to be a difference maker.

I'm hoping these two are badasses. Same with Hunter Deyo and Deylin Hasert and a number of others. OL could use some guys who lose their jobs possibly.

Frankly, if jobs aren't being taken, it is a very bad sign.
