Its been a great year to be a Cyclone fan. The football team made a bowl and the basketball team seemed like they were going to win it all for a second. In my many years as a fan I don't remember a lot of years like this. What am I going to do now to replace all of the time I spent on Cyclonefanatic and talking about ISU football and basketball? Can't wait until next year. Until then Go Cyclones!

For me, Spring football, fantasy baseball, golf, capital city league, following recruiting, fall will be here before I know it.

Now what? A few months letting my balls heal from getting kicked so often this season.

Don't worry. The 2nd recruiting season is about to fire up..... aka transfer recruiting

Look forward to how Man Man and Thomas gel with Niang and Ejim next season. Sprinkle in some SDW, Okoro, and others to get to a third NCAA tourney for Fred and Co.

Every Cyclone Fanatic offseason is the same. Prepare for the following thread types:

-"Will Rhoads leave?"

-"Will Hoiberg leave?"

-"White helmets?"

-"Can we get this guy?" for every half decent basketball player announcing he will transfer

-"Your favorite _________?" for every possible type of food grouping

-"David Ubben said _________"

-"Your 2013 predictions?" for football (50 identical threads)

-"Your 2013-2014 predictions?" for basketball (50 identical threads)

Feel free to add any on that I may have overlooked.

Who is the starting Quarterback?

Well, I tried to get frisky with the wife since she was wearing yoga pants today, but she was 'tired'...so this off season isn't starting off on the best foot...

sunuva....

great season from both squads. coaching is going to be key for both sports next year since they will both be very young teams. alot of great seniors are leaving the football and basketball teams and will be hard to replace. i am not going to have high expectations for either team. let me rephrase that... i dont see either team making a drastic improvement. on the football field, we will have pretty much no experience at QB and LB (besides jeremiah george) and our o-line has to do a better job opening up the running game. we have to establish a pass rush, which we havent had for years. my goal is a bowl game. i dont see us getting to the 8 wins we all want. not this year anyways.

on the hardwood (haha hard wood), i dont see us making the big dance. we lose way too many important players (babb, lucious, clyburn, tyrus, booker). there are just too many question marks. maurice jones not being able to play will hurt. some freshmen will have to step in and play important roles. i guess it can be called a rebuilding year. i think we will get to the NIT, but this is just a guess at this point. better to have lower expectations and over-achieve when it comes to a young team i suppose

My wife also had yoga pants, but was not tired. :th_woot:
